On (01/31/26), Council 5096 held a CUF ceremony welcoming our newly exemplified 3rd-Degree Knight Oscar Cavazos into our esteemed fraternal organization and into Council 5096, Alpine TX. Your commitment to serving in our community as a Catholic gentleman is truly inspiring! May your journey as a Knight be filled with grace and purpose as we reflect on the work of our founder Fr. Michael J. McGivney based on charity, unity, and fraternity. We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen. ✝️🙏🏽

We also like to thank Fr. Luis for his time and commitment to our Lady of Peace of Catholic Church.May our Lord always protect and bless you on your journey and continue to inspire people to walk with faith. 😇

Due to the extreme weather, Our Lady of Peace have cancelled Saturday evening mass service at 6 PM, Jan. 24th, and all Sunday masses scheduled for tomorrow, Jan. 25th.

[IMPORTANT] Due to inclement weather, the Knights of Columbus, Council 5096’s annual March for Life event scheduled for Saturday, January 24th, has been postponed until further notice.

Keep Christ in Christmas by Blessing a Family in Need!

This year, the Knights of Columbus are once again sponsoring our Christmas Food Basket Drive, and we need your help to make the season brighter for families in our community.
We’re collecting non-perishable food items, and each basket will include a holiday turkey provided by the Knights.

📍 Drop-off Locations:
Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church after every weekend Mass
(406 S 6th St., Alpine, TX). Items can be left inside the box located at the front entrance of the church.

📅 Donation Deadline: Friday, December 19th by 5 PM

🎁 Basket Pickup for Families/Individuals:
Sunday, December 21st, 1–3 PM
📍 Knights Hall, 125 N 6th St.

On 11/22/25, Council 5096 proudly welcomed these men into Knighthood through the Exemplification of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity (CUF). Welcome, brothers! We’re honored to serve alongside you as we aspire to be better Catholic men as we aspire to be better husbands, fathers, sons, and community leaders. Special thank you to District Deputy, Ed Lyon, and his wife Georgina for making the trip to Alpine to attend this special event. Thank you, to Fr. Saul Pacheco serving as our Chaplian and fellow brother knight.

A sincere thank you to all brother knights and volunteers who helped give out turkeys today (11/17/25) to families and individuals in need.

He’s been contacted and has officially claimed his prize! 🎉 We also want to give a huge shoutout to Sir Knight, Dorian Cordero, for his amazing contributions and stellar salesmanship, leading the way with over 60-plus ticket sales! 👏

And of course, thank you to everyone in our community who supported this fundraiser. Your generosity makes it possible for us to keep giving back in meaningful ways. ✝️🙏🏼 Next up: our annual Christmas Food Basket Drive — helping local families in need with food and financial support this holiday season.
