For those of you who possibly heard that our friend, Reggie, was having some heart difficulties recently. Thankfully, he is doing much better!! We all sincerely praise God for His Goodness to Reggie and Cathy! Please continue to pray for Reggie and Cathy. They are so dear to all of us who know them.
Neither of them are on Facebook, but hope you can contact them by phone or letter. Their mailing address is 2011 Clarence Odum Road, Monroe, GA 30656.

Also, I'm sure most of you have heard about the passing of our precious, beloved friend and brother in Christ, Michael Willard. He had been ill for awhile, but was always realizing and acknowledging that God had him and his future in His Hands! We all praise God for Mike and his great life in ministry and love for so many, many people. He was dearly loved and honored by all who knew him and especially by his sons, Alex and Eliott Willard and their families. Nita and Mike, as we all know, were supportive and always lovingly caring for one another and so many others! You can send a message to Nita via Facebook or send a letter to her at: 32 Flint Ridge Drive, Mableton, GA 30327 God bless you all! Rosemary Land Lester

Hello, friends! Kaye Dunagen called last night asking for prayer for Don who is hospitalized in Jackson, Mississippi. He was admitted to the hospital because of chest pains. The doctor has discovered several issues related to the severe chest pains and are considering surgery in the next two days. Their hesitation to schdule surgery is due to his age (72), so Kaye has asked 'that her friends from Mission Church would please pray for him'. I will keep you informed as I hear more from her.Thank you, in advance, for your love and prayers for Don! (Note: If you were a part of the Mission Church in Atlanta, please go to The Mission site on FB to join the Closed Group.)

As I was looking for a particular Scripture this morning, a handwritten note from my precious Daddy fell out into my lap. (Many may not realize that Pastor Jack Land was also quite a poet and writer. I have many samples of his great gift that still speak into my heart.) After tears of joyful remembrance of this great man who I called Daddy, the note reminded me of what he said one night to my mom, my brother and I after we prayed together about making a huge move to Atlanta, Georgia in the late 60's. We had seen disturbing pictures on our small tv about young people protesting and wandering aimlessly through the streets of major cities. One picture was from Atlanta..... about all the 'hippies' who had no goals, no jobs, no 'respect' for the city of Atlanta, etc. etc. (Sounds familiar doesn't it?!) But Daddy looked off into the distance and asked a question to no one but to everyone, 'What is the Church saying to these young men and women? How is the Church answering them........" So, as you look at these pictures, let's all be reminded we are asked, in our generation, in our situation, in our churches, in our neighborhoods the same questions, I hope. 'What is the Church (us) saying to the lost around us. What are we saying (as the Church of our Lord) and giving answer to people who are wandering aimlessly in their hearts, minds, and goals and in what they hold as truth?" If we are not Salt and Light, who will be? Someone else's voice or organization will give false answers and weak solutions to life's questions unless we speak out concisely, honestly, and often, with wisdom, Love of Christ, and then listen. Really listen. It is still Possible. It is still our Mission. Writing this in honor of Jack & Mary Land....
