KMC Worship for 02/01/26

Although we will have service tomorrow, it comes with some precautionary advisories:

* Today's temperature never made it out of the 20's, although the sun provided some thermal melting - better than nothing. However, the morning temperature is forecasted to be in the teens yet again. Any melt will refreeze.
* Although Roy made a valiant effort to make things better with salt/ice melt, it is the proverbial band-aid on an elephant. There will certainly be ice still in areas, primarily in the main lot closest to the building, north entrance to the sanctuary, and west lot. There are partial clearings, but ice is there as well.
* Walking and parking surfaces on the south side of the buildings is for the most part clean/dry; however, there may still be small areas of ice here-and-there. If you come, this is your best parking/walking choice.
* If you come and would like to pull to the south side of the building to walk in on the ramp, come in and someone will park your car, then bring it back to you - think valet.

Again, we will have church, but do NOT venture out if you think you might have a problem. We will livestream as always. This message will be posted via email and Facebook. If you know of someone not receiving or having access to either, please let them know about this notice. Thank you.

Well, the weather prognosticators nailed it this time. We have received the snow and sleet they warned us about, with more sure to come. That, along with the bitter cold until Tuesday afternoon, warrants some decisions.
Regretfully, we will cancel all services at Kibler Methodist Church and Alma Methodist Church for this weekend. This, for the safety of our congregation(s).

There will be a video tomorrow for your home-worship viewing.

The forecast is ominous; therefore, we will probably need to cancel services Sunday morning. The final determination will be made Saturday morning and then broadcasted here on our FB page, as well as through emails.

In light of my study this morning, I share a prayer of encouragement for you today from the OT book of Habakkuk (3:17-19 NIV):

17 Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.

19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread on the heights.
