This weekend, especially, we pause to honor the sacrifices they made and those who knew and loved them. We should never forget that our freedoms, which come from God, have been protected by those who have lost their lives in doing so.

Thank you to our faithful volunteers who came to help place flags around our church campus as a message of gratitude that we may openly worship and share the Gospel at home and abroad.

So grateful to this year’s American History Class at North Allegheny HS for their commitment to supporting our military through their many donations and letters for deployed packages and the 15 blankets produced today! What a wonderful group of students!

November is a month of giving thanks to God for His faithfulness and for all He has given us. It is also a month to remember, honor and show our gratitude for those who have served our nation. We had a few opportunities to show our love and support to a few this month. Meet Jim, he is a Korean War veteran from Shaler. He loves to create things with wood, something that he started when he was in the Navy and working on a repair ship. We had the privilege to take him to a Veterans Breakfast Club Breakfast to share some of his story and meet other local veterans. We were able to offer 6 blankets made at last winter’s blanket workshops with GE gift cards from the Giving Tree for participation in Outdoor Immersion’s Resilient Classic for the third year in a row. Jim Morton’s tradition of placing flags around the Memorial Park Church Campus continued for Veterans Day and Memorial Day.
