We are part of the second largest body of Christians worldwide having 225 million who profess the Holy Orthodox Faith. The Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the United States of America is a component part of the One, Holy, catholic (universal), and Apostolic Church, the Head of which is our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ (Col. 1:18) "The mission of the UOC of the USA is the salvation of souls through Orthodox Christian faith, worship, education, and service to all people." Christ is Risen! Христос воскрес! ☦️

Today we congratulate Father Alexis Clodfelter, United States Army Chaplain on his graduation from chaplain training school in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. There to commemorate this special occasion was His Eminence Archbishop Daniel of the UOC of the USA.

Father Alexis has been an attached priest at our parish during his time at seminary and for the past year. We would like to wish him well as he embarks on his next duty assignment as an Active Duty soldier ministering to the soldiers in our United States Armed Forces. 🙏🏻
