This Sunday was a day our church family will not soon forget!
We celebrated five students professing their faith and becoming members of Allentown United Methodist Church, and we rejoiced as two youth were baptism. Together, we witnessed God's grace at work as these young people boldly shared their faith stories with our congregation!
Their words reminded us that faith isn't about having all the answers. It's about discovering that God is present—in our fears, our prayers, our friendships, our struggles, and our hope.
Abby: "God is always with me, and that makes me feel hopeful."
Evan: "When I prayed for my Nonna, I felt like I had God by my side, and it felt very comforting."
Keegan: "One of my favorite parts was when we all got quiet during prayer time. I really liked the feeling I got during the stillness in the room."
Zachary: "I don't have to pretend that I am okay. God's strength will carry me when I can't carry myself, and my weakness is not the end of my story."
Victoria: "What we can learn from everyone and each other is special. We help one another grow into the people God is calling us to be."
To our confirmands: thank you for your honesty, your courage, and your willingness to share your hearts with us. You reminded all of us that faith is not just something we inherit, it is something we choose, nurture, and live out each day!
Your church family is so proud of you, and we are excited to continue walking alongside you as you grow in Christ. ❤️
