I wrote Her Story, His Glory because I saw too many women both in Scripture and in real life reduced to their mistakes, misunderstood moments, or painful chapters.
As I studied the women of the Bible, I noticed something powerful: God never defined them by what others said about them. He defined them by His purpose, His grace, and His redemption. Vashti, Hagar, Leah, Tamar, Esther, Junia, Dorcas, and so many others were seen, called, and used by God, even when people overlooked or misjudged them.
I wrote this book for the woman who wonders if her story still matters.
For the woman healing from loss, failure, rejection, or silence.
For the woman who needs to know that God is not finished with her yet.
This devotional is not about perfect women. It is about a perfect God who redeems imperfect lives for His glory.
đź“– Her story. His glory. And God is still writing.

TOPIC: Jesus Is God’s Message

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1).

“Word” in the scripture above is “Logos” (Greek). It’s the more general term used for word because it encompasses speech, idea, thought, and message. The key thing about “Logos” is the substance of the message. It’s like when you say, “I sent you a message”; that means you sent a word.

When you read John chapter one from the first verse all the way to verse fourteen, it lets you know that Jesus Christ is God’s “Logos”; God’s Message. All of God’s thoughts, all of God’s ideas, and all of God’s opinions are wrapped up or encapsulated in Jesus. He’s the expression of God’s mind. He’s the unveiling of the heart of the Father. If you want to know what God thinks, Jesus is the expression. Hallelujah!

John 1:9-11 tells us something remarkable. It says, “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not.” God’s Word—His message came into the world; He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. He came through the words of prophets such as Noah, Moses, Samuel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, etc., but the world didn’t receive the Word. Then the Bible says,

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14 NIV). See what God did! The message became a man; the man, Christ Jesus.

Before the incarnation, there were some who received God’s message and believed that one day they would rise from the dead and have eternal life. Abraham believed. David believed. The prophets talked about it; they knew the day would come, and they believed it. The angel gave the message to Daniel as well. He told him about those who will rise to eternal blessings and those who will be eternally condemned (Daniel 12:2).

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. This is extraordinary. The voice that Moses heard from the burning bush, the message that he wrote from God to the children of Israel, the writings of the prophets—all of these took on flesh and appeared to men. His name is Jesus—the living Word. Glory to His Name forever.

CONFESSION

Lord Jesus, you’re great and greatly to be praised; you’re the Word in flesh, the fullness of the Godhead, and the expression of God’s thoughts, ideas and opinions. You’re life eternal, manifested to man. You’re the unveiling of the Father’s heart, His righteousness, love, grace, goodness and mercy. You’re the eternal Word of God, and I love you now and always. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY

John 1:9-14: [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

1 John 1:1-3: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen [it], and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

TOPIC: Make Your Evangelism Complete

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious (1 Peter 2:2-3).

When you lead people to Christ to receive salvation, at that moment, they’re still spiritual babies that must begin to learn the Word of God. The Word of God is the food for the human spirit; it’s the only material that guarantees spiritual growth. Therefore, new converts must be taught the Word and given the opportunity to learn the Word of God.

This is where going to church plays a key role. When you win souls, immediately introduce them to the local church where they can participate in the things of God and be trained and well-nurtured spiritually. When you fail to bring them into the church, you’re like a woman who gives birth to a baby, leaves the baby at the hospital’s maternity ward and goes home. That’s absurd.

It’s important to take those you’ve led to Christ to your church. Don’t tell them to go to any nice church. That’s like having a child and saying, “This child can go to any mother.” Instead, guide them to the church where you are. If the person believed your message about Jesus, they ought to know you came from somewhere.

When you bring them to your church, you can guarantee their spiritual growth because you know what they’re going to hear. Connect them with someone from your church—a leader or even the pastor. Let them know you’re excited about their salvation and that others will be excited about it too.

Make your evangelism complete. Help them see that their growth in Christ is a priority and that the church is the best environment for them to flourish spiritually. If you’re not yet the member of a local church, or seeking one, you could begin by contacting the person or church who gave you this book, or log on to www.christembassy.org for more information.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of leading others to Christ and guiding them in their journey of faith. I carry out evangelism with wisdom and love, ensuring those I lead to Christ are nurtured and established in the truth. Thank you for the church as a place of growth, fellowship and training in righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:

Acts 2:41-47; 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. 42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. 44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Ephesians 4:11-12; 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Hebrews 10:25 (KJV); Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

TOPIC: Sometimes You Need To Be Quiet

And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout (Joshua 6:10).

When God sent the children of Israel to bring down the walls of Jericho, He gave them the strategy. He said to them, “Go around Jericho once every day for seven days.” He also instructed them through Joshua to stay quiet. He didn’t want anyone doubting or asking, “Do you think these walls will fall down? They’re so thick!” No; He commanded absolute silence.

From the time they left their homes until they returned, they were to say nothing for the first six days as they marched round Jericho. On the seventh day, they were to go around the city seven times, and on the seventh lap, the priests were to blow the trumpet, and after that, everyone was to shout!

They did as God instructed, and though they hadn’t any equipment to bring down those walls, the walls fell down flat nevertheless. God instructed them to be quiet until the seventh day because He didn’t want them speaking unbelief that would nullify their faith. Sometimes, you need to be quiet. If you’re struggling to believe what God has said, don’t speak doubt. Instead, meditate on the Word, and build your faith.

This is one area where fasting is also very beneficial. Fasting will help you if you’re having difficulty believing something God has said to you. When you fast, pray, and study the Word, it’ll speed up the process of developing your faith for that situation. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the strategies you give us to walk in victory. I declare that my heart is open to your Word, and I walk according to your instructions with faith and confidence. I walk by faith, not by sight. I build my faith and grow in your Word, making progress in every area of my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:

Joshua 6:1-5; Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. 2 And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. 3 And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. 4 And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. 5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.

Isaiah 30:15; For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.

Rhapsody Of Realities 24 February 2025 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy):

TOPIC: Rule Your World (Rhapsody of Realities 24 February 2025)

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us (Romans 8:37).

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

Think about what we just read in our opening scripture! It means your victory over the adversary is already settled. It’s the result of what Jesus accomplished for us through His death, burial and resurrection. Today, your responsibility is to maintain that victory; rule your world. Take charge. God has given you the dominion and the authority to alter the course of events in the earth, using the Name of Jesus.Christian books

Revelation 1:6 tells us something remarkable; it says God has “…made us kings and priests….” Kings rule. Kings exercise dominion and exert authority. Romans 5:17 tells us something equally beautiful; it says, “…they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” That’s your calling: to reign in life through Jesus Christ.

The Bible tells us that God set Jesus Christ in the high place of glory, put all things under His feet, and legally declared Him to be the head over all things for the benefit of the Church: “And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all” (Ephesians 1:22-23).Christian books

The Church is His body; therefore, if all things have been placed beneath His feet, and you’re part of His body, it means all things have been placed under your feet. Satan, failure, sickness, poverty and death are all under your feet. Glory be to God! You’re seated at the right hand of God in Christ Jesus; that means you’re in the place of divine authority and power. Therefore, reign in life, and rule over circumstances. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, with the authority you have given me, I take charge of my world with confidence and boldness. I enforce your will and purpose in my city and nation as I side with you in bringing your Word to pass in this world. I declare that your Word prevails in the lives of men, for amplified activities of righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Rhapsody Of Realities 15 February 2025 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy):

TOPIC: Your Knowledge Of Spiritual Principles (Rhapsody of Realities 15 February 2025)

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3).

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

Our lives today are made better because of the discoveries made by those who came before us—those who learned about electricity, magnetism, heat, radiation, etc. These discoveries gave us an advantage, making life easier, better and faster than it was in previous generations.

In the same way, in the spiritual realm, some of us are constantly researching the Word of God, exploring the realities of the Kingdom, and discovering how to live the transcendent life in Christ. Through these spiritual discoveries, we help others see how to succeed in life and please God.Christian books

Just as natural laws benefit us, spiritual laws are even more beneficial and vital. The principles of success as taught in the world are nothing compared to the spiritual principles in God’s Word. For example, while in the world many chase after material things, but the Bible teaches us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness; consequently, everything you need in life will come to you naturally (Matthew 6:33). That beats logic or human reasoning; but it’s in sync with the principle of faith. Faith is the law by which we live in the Kingdom: “…as it is written, The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17).Christian books

Then in Romans 3:27, we read about the law of faith: “Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.” You must learn to operate by the law of faith; it’s consistent and much more reliable than natural laws. Take the law of gravity for example; have you ever woken up one day to find that the law of gravity had failed, with everything suddenly floating in the air? No! The law of gravity works all the time.

But even so, spiritual laws and principles are more immutable. Therefore, understand and apply them diligently. Research the deeper truths of God through the study of the Word and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Know how to function in God’s Kingdom, through your knowledge of Him and of His spiritual principles, and you’ll live in the fullness of His blessings and of your inheritance in Him. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for revealing the spiritual laws of success to me through your Word. I walk according to the principles of the Kingdom, in victory and divine prosperity. My life is governed by your Word, and I live in the fullness of your blessings and of my inheritance in Christ. Thank you for the Holy Spirit who guides me into all truth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY

Joshua 1:8 AMPC – This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.

Matthew 6:33 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

2 Peter 1:2-3: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that [pertain] unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Rhapsody Of Realities 13 February 2025 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy):

TOPIC: Love And Righteousness (Rhapsody of Realities 13 February 2025)

For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17).

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

In our previous study, we talked about the gift of eternal life that’s imparted to be born again. Now, that wonderful gift of eternal life comes with two associate virtues: love and righteousness. You can’t get them anywhere else. Upon receiving eternal life, the love of God is automatically shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5).Christian books

Christ in you means the nature of God is in you, and God’s nature is love. The Bible says, “…God is love…” (1 John 4:16). That love resides in your spirit; your responsibility is to let that love flow through you. 2 Corinthians 5:19 says, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” Having reached out to us in love through Christ, He has given us the ministry of reconciliation, to win others and bring them into His love.Christian books

The second thing is righteousness; Christ has made you righteous. Ephesians 4:24 says you were created in righteousness and true holiness. Romans 5:18-19 says, “Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” Think about that!

With all the sins you’ve ever committed, with all the evil you may have done, Jesus Christ, the Righteous One, gives you His righteousness. Now you can stand in the presence of God just like He does. You have become as pure as He is—washed, sanctified, justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of God. And having received this divine nature of righteousness, you reign in life through Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for your liquid love that’s shed abroad in my heart, and the gift of righteousness by which I reign in life through Jesus Christ. I live in the power of your love and righteousness. Thank you for making me holy and blameless; I walk in the consciousness of this truth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY

Romans 5:5 – And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

2 Corinthians 5:21 – For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Isaiah 61:10 – I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh [himself] with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth [herself] with her jewels.
