Earlier this summer, our Craft Group asked for donations of plastic grocery bags to create waterproof sit-upons for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. We are so grateful for the wonderful response and generosity of our church family! Your donations provided exactly what was needed for this project, and the Craft Group recently completed the sit-upons.

Because we received such an enthusiastic response, we now have plenty of plastic bags on hand and are no longer collecting additional bags at this time.

If you still have bags at home that you would like to recycle, many local grocery stores are happy to accept them. Thank you again for helping make this project a success and for your continued generosity in supporting the ministries of FUMC Allen!

Join us Friday, September 11, for a community concert of remembrance and hope with choir and orchestra participants from First United Methodist Church Plano, First United Methodist Church of Allen, First United Methodist Church Sachse, First United Methodist Church Garland, Wylie United Methodist Church, University Park United Methodist Church, Suncreek United Methodist Church, and other area musicians.
