When Valerie retired from teaching, she wanted to invest her time in something close to her heart.

For three years, she has served as a Patient Advocate at Real Options, supported by a staff that encourages her and helps her continue learning. Her role also gives her opportunities to share the Lord’s love with people she may never have met otherwise.

During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we are praying for those experiencing abuse, for the people helping them find safety, and for communities that respond with compassion and wisdom.

After retiring from teaching and spending three years caring for her grandson, Judi knew she wanted to find a new way to serve.
