Genesis 27 is a messy chapter.

There is deception. Manipulation. Favoritism. Fear. Anger.

It hardly looks like a chapter about faith.

Yet Hebrews 11:20 says:
“By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.”

How can a story filled with failure still be a story of faith?

When Isaac and his family all clamored for the covenantal blessing, God was still sovereign. God’s purposes are not stopped by human weakness. Even when faith struggles and man schemes, God is still working.
