"It is not right for a Muslim who has something to bequeath to spend two nights without having his will written down with him," the Prophet (peace be upon him) said (Bukhari, Muslim).

Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that from the day he heard this, not a single night passed without his will beside him (Muslim).

"There is a surah in the Qur'an of thirty verses which interceded for a man until he was forgiven. It is: Tabaarakalladhee biyadihil-mulk," the Prophet (peace be upon him) said (Tirmidhi).
