Today we started the Dormition Fast (August 1–14)

The Dormition Fast is a sacred time of prayer, fasting, repentance, and spiritual renewal as we prepare to celebrate the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos. During these two weeks, the Church invites us to deepen our relationship with Christ through prayer, acts of mercy, and sincere repentance, following the humble example of the Mother of God.

“Prepare your heart. Grow in prayer. Draw closer to Christ.”
