Have you ever wondered what it means to become Roman Catholic? Are you interested in learning more about the Catholic faith, asking questions, or simply exploring whether the Catholic Church is right for you?

The process of becoming Catholic is called OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults).

This year, OCIA at Blessed Sacrament Church will begin with Initial Inquiry Sessions on Sunday, September 20, at 9:00 AM, and will continue on Sunday mornings thereafter.

These inquiry sessions provide an opportunity to:
• Learn more about the Catholic faith
• Ask questions about becoming Catholic
• Discover what the OCIA process involves
• Explore why someone might choose to become Catholic
• Meet others who are interested in learning more about the Church

Everyone is welcome! There is no obligation to continue beyond the inquiry sessions. Come with your questions and an open heart.

🎉 Congratulations to Knights of Columbus Council 2515! 🎉

We are proud to announce that Council 2515 has once again earned the prestigious Star Council Award for the 2025–2026 fraternal year!

This achievement is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and commitment of every one of our members. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, supported our programs, and helped make this recognition possible.

Let’s celebrate this accomplishment—and then get right back to work. Here’s to doing it again this year! 💙⚔️

Congratulations to Bishop Edward M. Lohse, on his appointment by Pope Leo XIV to the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura, the Catholic Church’s highest court.

Pope Leo XIV appointed Bishop Lohse along with canon law experts from Spain, Germany, Poland and Italy, to five-year terms on the Apostolic Signatura.

The Apostolic Signatura serves as the Church’s supreme tribunal and oversees the proper administration of justice throughout the Catholic Church.

Its members, who include cardinals, bishops, and priests, are appointed by the pope for five-year terms.

FROM VATICAN CITY — 'Pope Leo XIV has appointed Bishop Edward M. Lohse, the apostolic administrator of the Diocese of Steubenville and bishop of Kalamazoo, Michigan, among seven new members of the Apostolic Signatura, the Catholic Church’s highest court. Bishop Lohse previously worked at the Vatican’s Congregation for the Clergy from 2010 to 2015. While in Rome, he also became an adjunct faculty member at the Pontifical North American College and studied for his doctoral degree in canon law at the Pontifical Gregorian University. He received the doctoral degree, summa cm laude, in 2016.'

Today we were honored to help pack 60,000 meals that will be distributed to families in need across 32 countries around the world.
It was truly a blessing to serve alongside my family and so many members of the Knights of Columbus. Together, we were able to make a small difference in the lives of others and help spread hope far beyond our community. 🙏 What a humbling and rewarding experience. Cross Catholic Outreach
