Did God really hide the Gospel in the ancient Chinese language?
What if one character could reveal the story of Jesus?
✍️ The Chinese word for “righteousness” is 義.
It’s made up of two powerful parts:
➡️ 羊 (yáng) = Lamb
➡️ 我 (wǒ) = Me
Put them together and it literally means:
“The Lamb over me” = Righteousness
That’s not a coincidence it’s a divine message.
Long before Christianity ever reached China…
Before the Bible was ever translated into Chinese… This character was already in use.
The word righteousness (義) has been traced back to the Shang Dynasty (around 1600–1046 BC)—that’s over 3,000 years ago.
What’s even more amazing? That’s about 600–700 years after the Tower of Babel (estimated around 2242 BC), when languages were divided and nations began to form.
And get this ancient Chinese writing from that time already had the pieces that make up this character.
That means the message “The Lamb over me” was written into the language early in human history, passed down just generations after Noah.
According to Chinese historian and researcher C.H. Kang, co-author of The Discovery of Genesis, many ancient Chinese characters contain truths from the Bible hidden in plain sight.
John 1:29 says:
“Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”
That same message is embedded in a character written over 3,000 years ago.
✅ Righteousness doesn’t come from us.
✅ It comes from the Lamb who covers us.
✅ And that Lamb is Jesus.
God has always been speaking—through time, culture, and language.
The gospel is not just a Western idea.
It’s a universal truth, woven into the very foundation of humanity.
The Lamb over me. That’s righteousness.
That’s Jesus. That’s love.
