Last Sunday, I distributed Gospel tracts both inside and outside the bus.
Here are the results:
Inside the Bus: 18 out of 20 people accepted a Gospel tract. The acceptance rate was so overwhelmingly high because most of the commuters were teenagers—and I intimidated them a little bit. Just kidding! 🤣
You know what? I would easily prefer to give out tracts to teenagers because that is very much my comfort zone. I feel more confident and, somehow, more authoritative because I am older than them, and I tend to experience less rejection from teenagers—not most of the time, though. 🤣
But that’s not how witnessing works.
Sharing the Gospel should not be based on who we are comfortable talking to or who we feel intimidated by. We should not be a respecter of persons when it comes to giving out the Gospel.
All souls need to receive a Gospel tract.
Do not avoid people just because you feel intimidated by them. You never know—those people may be dying and may need a Gospel tract more than you realize.
The person you are afraid to approach may be the very person who needs to hear the Gospel the most.
Every soul matters. Every soul needs Christ.
Outside the Bus: 19 out of 40 people accepted a Gospel tract. Most of these people were adults and probably did not have much of a Christian background.
Just a note: there is a growing presence of Islam and atheism in Europe, which can make it more challenging to reach people with the Gospel. Many locals here also don’t feel that they need God because of their lifestyle, comfort, and financial stability.
But I don’t care. I’m still going to tell them to their face that regardless of their religious beliefs—or even if they have none—and regardless of whether they are the CEO of a company or have nothing at all, Hell doesn’t care who you are. Without Christ, you are going to Hell.
And just one story I want to share:
A guy on the bus (see photo) picked up a Gospel tract that had been left on an empty seat by a previous commuter. He actually read it, and honestly, that made me a little emotional.
The reality is, others may not care. Some may throw the tract away. Some may ignore it.
But others might stop, take a look, and read the Gospel.
And that’s enough reason for me to keep going.
