These are Eric and Caitlin, both Irish.

I met them at church today and told them it was my first time seeing them there.

Surprisingly, Eric told me that they are Catholic and that they simply wanted to try attending another church and see what it was like.

I asked who invited them and whom they knew at church. He replied that they didn’t know anyone and that it was their first time attending.

I then took the opportunity, as God laid it on my heart, to share the Gospel with them. They gladly accepted the invitation to hear it.

My heart was so emotional seeing people seeking God and doing something unexpected—a Catholic couple attending a Baptist church simply for a new experience.

Today, both of them received the Lord as their personal Savior, and I am so happy for them.

I also gave them assurance so they would not be afraid in the future. They don’t need to accept Jesus again and again every day. Salvation is not something we need to repeat every day.

Try to talk to new faces at church and make them feel welcome. You never know whom God is bringing your way so they can hear about Christ.

I’ve already arranged a Bible study with them so they can continue to grow in Christ.
