We pause to remember September 11, 2001, a day that forever changed our nation.
We honor the lives lost, the lives who were forever changed, the first responders, members of our military, and the countless ordinary people who demonstrated extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
For VCOA, this day also carries a deeply personal testimony. Our very own, Apostle Dr. Linda Herbert, was an active duty U.S. Army officer serving at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. She survived the attack and later shared her eyewitness account in her book, “The Pentagon Miracle: An Eyewitness Account.”
Her testimony tells not only of the events surrounding that terrible day, but also of God’s saving grace, and the courage of the heroes at the Pentagon, and the powerful truth that one person can make a difference. Her story reminds us that even in moments of tragedy, fear, grief, and uncertainty, God can use our lives for a greater purpose.
As we remember September 11th, we pray & honor those who served, those who sacrificed, and those who stepped forward to help others.
