(GWHS) is a nonprofit, religious, educational and cultural organization involved in promoting Bengali Sanatan culture in the Washington DC Metro Area (Northern Virginia: Fairfax, Springfield, Alexandria, Arlington, Woodbridge, Maryland, Washington DC). GWHS started its journey in December 2012, with the goal of creating a positive and enjoyable experience of friendship, happiness, and harmony via

our Bengali heritage. Albeit GWHS is predominantly a Bengali organization purporting to practice Hinduism so far, we however intend to reach out to other communities as well. Therefore, membership in GWHS is not limited to any particular race or ethnic origin. Moreover, it provides an opportunity for the children to learn about the ancient cultural tradition of Indian sub-continent through various religious and other social, cultural and literary events organized by GWHS like Saraswati Puja, Durga Puja, Bengali New Year Celebration (Bangla Nababarsho) etc.
