FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
Beloved parishioners and friends, as I step into retirement from active ministry, I am struggling to find the words to adequately thank you for the magnificent reception you organized for me, the many prayers, gifts and warm wishes. Your kindness has touched my heart deeply.
I have been a priest now for 41 years, 22 of those years serving as your pastor. It has been a true blessing. I will forever cherish the ways we have worshiped, grown, and supported one another.
I am pleased to welcome Father. Daniel O’Connor, who will become the new pastor of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, effective July 1. Let’s show him the warmth and love this faith community is known for. Please remember him in your prayers during this time of transition.
I leave knowing this congregation is strong, faithful, and full of love. You have been and will always be a wonderful people. I leave with a heavy heart, but a grateful one. I will miss you, but never forget you. Please keep me in your prayers, as I will certainly keep all of you in mine.
