For over 150 years, First Lutheran has been a faithful presence in Alexandria. Besides being a center for worship and ministry, it has long served as a place where numerous groups from the community come together and meet. First Lutheran is a welcoming place. The people who gather and make this their church home are every day people, young and old alike, who find joy and purpose in being the churc

h together. Worship is at the center of who we are. You’ll find a variety of approaches to the worship services. Our prayer is that worship would inspire, encourage and enable us to know Jesus better and to reflect his love in our lives. First Lutheran is invested in its ministry to children and youth. Our music program is dynamic and has a long and rich tradition. We are a growing congregation that is willing to try new things and excited to move ahead. We look forward to the future and see that our best days are yet to come.

Our friends in the Forks have had an incredible few days in Winnipeg!

They've packed a lot into their trip so far—from exploring The Forks and taking in the sights on a trolley tour, to wandering through Chinatown, enjoying the Manitoba Museum, sampling some very fancy chocolate (ask them about this!), and even cheering on the horses at the races!

One of the most meaningful moments was their visit to the Mission. It was a humbling, emotional experience, and our group was deeply moved to learn about the Mission’s great need for basic necessities like socks and underwear. In response, they donated on behalf of First Lutheran to help provide these essentials.

Through sightseeing, shared meals, long walks, service, and plenty of laughter, this group has enjoyed wonderful fellowship and grown to know one another more deeply.

So many reminders of how faith and life meet. Wishing them a fun and safe remainder of their trip💙

We celebrated yesterday by letting our youth SOAK the pastors and CYF staff after worship 💦

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who tossed in a coin, dropped in some cash, and helped make these offerings such a fun and meaningful part of our summer! ❤️
