Alexandria Presbyterian Church

Alexandria Presbyterian Church Unchanging Truth, Changing Lives APC is a church of sinners. It’s that simple. But we are bound together by the Gospel that saves us and transforms us.

The transformation is, however, a process. God isn’t through with us yet. Everyone in this church is struggling with something. If you are currently struggling with greed, gossip, drugs, alcohol, sexual brokenness, eating disorders, anger, pride, etc—you are not alone. More importantly, God does not intend for you to struggle alone. That’s why He made the Church. If you would like to learn how you

r brothers and sisters at APC might be able to encourage you, pray with you and struggle alongside you, contact Pastor Tom Holliday at the church office. Tom Holliday is the senior pastor of APC. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Tom has been pastor of Alexandria Presbyterian Church since 1990. Before coming to Alexandria, Tom pastored Abingdon Presbyterian Church in Abingdon, VA, for nine years. Tom is a graduate of Covenant College and Covenant Theological Seminary. Tom and his wife Sharon have three grown children: Tommy, Stacey, and Caitlin. Tom is a great lover of baseball, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Last Saturday, APC held our Missions Evening. We heard from a panel of APC members about how they have been led to use their talents for the Kingdom. We also enjoyed delicious appetizers and met with other APC partners to learn more about their work and how we can continue to pray for and support them! We encourage you to continue to pray for these partners, and check out our missions tab on our website to learn more about all the many ways that the Lord is using them to serve the Kingdom!

Women's Bible Study beginning this Thursday, February 26th.

Last spring, the Thursday morning ladies studied the book of Revelation, using Nancy Guthrie’s Blessed. Nancy opened the study with these words, “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.” Revelation 1:3

As you can imagine, we were all skeptical about the blessing part because Revelation is a book that has been shrouded in fear and misunderstanding for many of us. Yet, after spending 12 weeks in Revelation last spring, we were all so encouraged by it that we decided to do it again this spring. To say that Jesus became more beautiful to us is an understatement. Really!

There are two options for this study.
📚In Person: Thursday mornings, from 9:45-11:30 AM in the fellowship hall. Nursery is available.
📚Virtual: Thursday evenings from 7:30pm-9:00pm. If interested in the virtual option, please reach out to Lynn Streett so she can provide the zoom link.

We can't wait to experience the promise of the this book with you all!❤️
