Alexandria Presbyterian Church Unchanging Truth, Changing Lives APC is a church of sinners. It’s that simple. But we are bound together by the Gospel that saves us and transforms us.

The transformation is, however, a process. God isn’t through with us yet. Everyone in this church is struggling with something. If you are currently struggling with greed, gossip, drugs, alcohol, sexual brokenness, eating disorders, anger, pride, etc—you are not alone. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Tom has been pastor of Alexandria Presbyterian Church since 1990. Before coming to Alexandria, Tom pastored Abingdon Presbyterian Church in Abingdon, VA, for nine years. Tom is a graduate of Covenant College and Covenant Theological Seminary. Tom and his wife Sharon have three grown children: Tommy, Stacey, and Caitlin. Tom is a great lover of baseball, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates.

40 years. Countless stories. One faithful God. 🪨

For 40 years, God has been faithful to Alexandria Presbyterian Church—and our story is made up of the people, prayers, moments, and memories that have brought us here.

At our 40th Anniversary Homecoming, we’ll gather for Stones of Remembrance: an afternoon of worship, storytelling, prayer, and reflection as we look back at where God has led us and look ahead to what He is doing.

And then, we want to hear your story.

Following the program, everyone will have the opportunity to create a Stone of Remembrance—a name, date, word, or image representing a moment when you experienced God’s faithfulness.

What will you remember?

🗓️ Saturday, September 19
⏰ 4:00–5:30 PM — Worship & Stories
🪨 5:30 PM — Stones of Remembrance + Fellowship
🍽️ 6:00 PM — Dinner

Come remember. Come give thanks. Come celebrate what God has done—and what He will continue to do.

okay okay… but this one is actually important. APC is turning 40!!! 🎉 and we want you there to celebrate with us. We’re gathering for *Stones of Remembrance*—an afternoon of worship, stories, prayer, and reflection as we remember God’s faithfulness through 40 years of APC.
So what’s happening?

4:00–5:30 PM — Worship + stories from across generations
5:30 PM — Stones of Remembrance + fellowship
6:00 PM — Dinner

Wait… Stones of Remembrance? Inspired by Joshua 4! We’ll hear stories of where God has led us, celebrate what He has done, and create our own stones of remembrance together.

We’re looking forward to celebrating 40 years of God’s faithfulness with our APC family! Join us Saturday, September 19 for a day of worship, stories, fellowship, memories, and plenty of opportunities to reconnect.

10 AM–12 PM — Softball Game at 4 Mile Run Softball Field

3–4 PM — Registration, Fellowship & Choir Rehearsal

4–4:15 PM — Opening Worship

4:15–5:30 PM — Three Stones of Remembrance: The Call, Sent Out, & From Generation to Generation

5:30–6 PM — APC History & Fellowship — tour the building, reconnect with old friends, create a stone of remembrance, and enjoy old photographs

6–7 PM — Dinner & Fellowship

Then on Sunday, September 20, join us for worship at 9 AM or 11 AM, with fellowship between services. ❤️

⛪ Worship — Pastor Tom Holliday continues our Living by Faith: Lessons from Genesis series with “Faith Intercedes” from Genesis 18:16–33.

📚 Key Equipping Classes — Our classes and events are back this Sunday! Come learn, connect, and grow with us.
