*RHAPSODY OF REALITIES JULY 23RD, 2024*

*WHEN GRACE IS MULTIPLIED*
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord (2 Peter 1:2).

Our opening scripture tells us how grace and peace can be multiplied in your life: it’s through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. That means the more you study to know more about God, and the Lord Jesus, the greater the grace of God that’ll be at work in your life.

When the grace of God in your life multiplies, what’s the result? Proverbs 24:5 gives us an idea; it says, “A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.” The Hebrew word translated as “strength” is “koach”; it also means ability.

This means that through the knowledge of God’s Word, you multiply your abilities; you discover that there’s so much more you can do. God gives us responsibilities according to the grace or ability that He’s given to us. Therefore, for anything you’re asked to do, there’s grace for you to accomplish it.

However, you’ll never be able to do beyond the grace or ability of God that’s at work in you. That’s when you need increased or multiplied grace. There’re people who only have the ability to manage a medium-scale business, while some others can only operate on a small scale; yet others have the ability for very large or global operations.

In the area of leadership, it’s the same; you can only lead to the extent of the ability granted you by God. What God does for you when He wants to upgrade your life is to increase your ability and your capacity to do more. James 4:6 says, “But he giveth more grace….”

You might then say, “That means I’ll just wait until God gives me more grace to be able to handle more responsibilities in life”; no! He already told you how to have His grace multiplied in your life: it’s through the knowledge of God—the “epignosis” of God—precise and correct knowledge. With that multiplied grace, you become more efficient, with far greater results. Hallelujah!

PRAYER / CONFESSION
The knowledge of God’s Word is increasing in my spirit, causing my abilities to increase. Christ is in me; therefore, I’m energized to do all things, being sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency. I recognize the working of God’s divine power in me to accomplish excellently, everything He’s ordained me to do today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

*RHAPSODY OF REALITIES TUESDAY JULY 16TH, 2024*

*CONVICTION IS IMPORTANT*
For our [preaching of the] glad tidings (the Gospel) came to you not only in word, but also in [its own inherent] power and in the Holy Spirit and with great conviction and absolute certainty [on our part]. You know what kind of men we proved [ourselves] to be among you for your good (1 Thessalonians 1:5 AMPC).

In 1989, a young lady who had attended our services for only a few months was asked, "What’s the message of Pastor Chris?" Her response was profound and insightful. She said, "The divine life." And she was right.

She gave the response having severally witnessed my conviction of the Gospel. It’s been decades, yet the message has remained the same. It’s a message I’ve lived and taught, a reality that has permeated every aspect of my life.

How did I come about this? Well, it’s because I believe in Jesus Christ. When you believe in Jesus Christ, you should believe with all your heart. There has to be oneness with Him. His truth is not given to us to debate; His truth is given to us to accept as the only truth.

In John 14:6, the Lord Jesus Himself declared, "...I am the way, the truth, and the life...." He left no room for doubt, debate or speculation. He unequivocally stated, "No man comes to the Father but by me," affirming His exclusivity as man’s Kinsman-redeemer, Mediator and Saviour.

Paul reiterated the same truth in 1 Timothy 2:5-6: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” Jesus is the truth. Everything you’ll ever know about God and from God is in Jesus. He’s the embodiment of all wisdom and knowledge.

Colossians 2:3 says, “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” He’s the embodiment, the totality of divinity. Colossians 1:19 AMPC says, “For it has pleased [the Father] that all the divine fullness (the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes) should dwell in Him permanently.”

This has to become real to you. It has to become your truth; it has to become your gospel, your personal message. It has to become your absolute conviction, something for which you’d rather die than deny or turn away from.

PRAYER / CONFESSION
Dear Father, thank you for the unwavering truth of your Word embodied in Jesus Christ. I embrace this truth with absolute conviction, allowing it to permeate every aspect of my life. I stand firm in faith, unshaken by doubt or debate, and I declare that your truth is my guiding light in all things. I boldly proclaim the Gospel with absolute certainty, knowing that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.

WE’RE IN HIS MARVELLOUS LIGHT

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9).

Everything God does has an end—an excellent end. He never leaves us hanging or in limbo. Think about what we just read in our theme verse: the latter part says He called us out of darkness into His marvellous light.

It reminds of the scripture in Deuteronomy 6:23, “And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.” He brought us out of darkness, to bring us into His marvellous light. We’re now in His marvellous light; we’re not journeying into His marvellous light.

In Colossians 1:13, we read something similar; it says, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” He lets us know that we’re not in the arena, the realm or the jurisdiction of darkness; we’ve been transferred into the Kingdom of God’s Love-Son. That’s your place of domicile. Hallelujah!

In Deuteronomy 6:23 where it says, “...he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in….” By “thence” He was referring to Egypt. Egypt was symbolic of the world; it symbolized darkness. His purpose for bringing us out of darkness (the world) was to bring us into His Kingdom. His focus wasn’t our coming out of darkness, so the celebration isn’t that we’re out of darkness but that we’re in His marvellous light.

Another thought along the same line is in what the Lord said to Paul in Acts 26:18, “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God….” Again, we see God’s purpose: it’s to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God and He’s fulfilled it! You’re in His marvellous light now and that light dispels darkness.

CONFESSION
I celebrate my glorious life in the Kingdom of God’s Love-Son, rejoicing in His light and dominion forever! I’m enthroned with Christ, and I shine and reign gloriously by grace, through righteousness. My journey in life is one of glory, triumph, success, prosperity and blessed assurance. Hallelujah!

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES MONDAY, 11TH DECEMBER.

THE MYSTERY OF THE GODHEAD

And great and important and weighty, we confess, is the hidden truth (the mystic secret) of godliness. He [God] was made visible in human flesh, justified and vindicated in the [Holy] Spirit, was seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, [and] taken up in glory (1 Timothy 3:16 AMPC).

There’re those who due to lack of proper understanding of the Scriptures are confused about the deity of Jesus. The Scriptures are unambiguous about it. Even the portion we just read in our theme verse leaves no one in doubt as to the fact that the one being referred to as God is Jesus.

Some have asked, “If Jesus is God, how can He set Himself at His own right hand in the heavenly places as stated in Ephesians 1:19-20?” First, you have to understand the extraordinary nature of God in which He’s able to manifest Himself in different ways; it’s the mystery of His nature.

The Bible tells us about the divine nature of the Godhead in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; one God, but manifests in three separate persons. We’re never going to see three Gods in Heaven, or three thrones with the Father sitting on one, the Son on another, and then the Holy Spirit on the third one; no! It’s only Jesus, because in Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9).

Colossians 1:19 says, “For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell.” Recall at the baptism of Jesus, as He came out of the water, the heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus. Simultaneously, a voice spoke from heaven and said, “...This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17).

What an extraordinary manifestation of the three persons: The Son is baptized in water, and right away He’s filled with the Holy Spirit, and the Father speaks from heaven! The first time the angels saw God Almighty in a body was when Jesus was born in Bethlehem. The Bible says, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...” (John 1:14). God became flesh and dwelt among us, and yet His presence and His voice would speak from heaven. Amazing!

CONFESSION
I worship the Lord Jesus, for in Him dwells all the fullness of the divine perfection, powers and attributes of divinity. Lord, you’re the complete embodiment of Deity, the outward expression or image of the invisible God. You’re the King eternal, gracious, loving and kind! I love you with all my heart! Blessed be your Name forever!

FURTHER STUDY:
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Colossians 1:19 AMPC For it has pleased [the Father] that all the divine fullness (the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes) should dwell in Him permanently.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES MONDAY, 4TH DECEMBER.

REDEMPTION AND CHRISTIANITY

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4)

Many don’t realize that the Christian isn’t actually the “redeemed.” If Christianity were all about redemption or salvation from sin, there wouldn’t have been the need for Jesus to rise from the dead. His death on the Cross would have been enough; it paid for all our sins and guaranteed complete propitiation. But that’s redemption and not Christianity.

Redemption refers to saving someone by paying a price. So when Jesus died, He paid the price for man’s redemption with His own life; He did that for all humanity, not for Christians. The Christian is the result of Christ’s resurrection not His death.

This should make it clearer: when Jesus hung on the Cross, in the mind of God, every human person was hanging on the Cross too ( in Him), For He was our substitute. When He cried out, “It is finished” and gave up the ghost, we also died in Him. Hallelujah! Now, when He came out of the grave, when He resurrected, we were also in Him.

That’s the big thing which Satan didn’t see coming and the angels still marvel at and seek to look into: Christianity is based on the resurrection of Jesus and not on His death. The resurrection of Jesus Christ gave us something far beyond redemption; it ushered us into a newness of life. We’ve been raised up together with Christ (Ephesians 2:6).

Romans 10:9 lets us know that salvation comes by believing in the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and the subsequent confession of His Lordship. A Christian, therefore, is one who identifies with the resurrected Christ.

Thus, just as Christ was raised from the dead into a newness of life, the Christian has no past. That’s why the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17; “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature…”; meaning that he is a new species, one that never existed before.

Being born again, therefore, you’re not the “redeemed“; you’re the fruit of the redemptive work of Christ. Redemption was consummated with His death, but Christianity came from the resurrection. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION
Just as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, I also have been raised into a newness of life to walk therein. I’m a new creation, conscious that I’ve been raised together with Christ and made to sit together with Him in the place of victory, authority, and dominion forever, in Jesus ‘Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Galatians 2:20 KJV I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Romans 10:9-10 KJV That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
