It is with great sadness and sorrow that I inform you of the transition of Apostle Ross Oscar
Knight, Jr., father of Lady Krystal Heatley. Apostle Knight was the founding pastor of the New
Covenant Christian Ministries in Pensacola, Florida.
Pastor Knight, as affectionately called, was
a visionary and proclaimer of the Gospel of Jesus Christ who loved God’s people.

Pastor Knight, the son of a Bishop, was a true shepherd. He took pleasure in discipling ministers
and pastors, many who have gone on to birth ministries. He was highly respected amongst his
colleagues in the southeast and was considered a pillar in the Pensacola community. He is
beloved by many and will truly be missed.

Pastor Knight endured multiple health challenges in his life. After his first major heart surgery
(2008), his physicians reasoned that his life expectancy was no more than two years. However,
Pastor Knight was a man of faith. And the Lord granted him eighteen (18) years post surgery,
even though he battled more health challenges. It was within that time period where Lady Krystal and I met, married and welcomed William and Quinn.

Pastor Knight transitioned with family by his side. Please pray for my family, in particular Lady
Krystal, her mother Elder Sharon Knight and her six siblings. Lady Krystal is a true “daddy’s girl,” and this is
an extremely difficult time for her. Please keep Lady Krystal, William and Quinn’s names before
the throne of grace.

Shiloh, Lady Krystal and I thank you for the many calls and texts. We continually seek our Lord
for comfort and compassion during this time of bereavement. Scripture teaches us to rejoice with
those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn (Romans 12:15). This is our charge in this
hour for this man of God. We rejoice that Pastor Knight has received his crown in glory, one that never fades.
