What a great day in the Lord! Pastor Smith preached, "The Best Way Out, is Up!" I Thessalonians 4:15-17
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first;
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
And verse 18 says Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Hallelujah and praise the Lord.

From the message today: 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
When a person receives the Holy Ghost and is baptized in Jesus name, they have become born again. Their lives will be changed forever, if they allow the spirit of God to lead them and guide them. The Word of God is the same yesterday, today and forever. It doesn't change. We must let it guide us as we travel through this world. Let the word of God change you today.

From our Bible study today........The prodigal son finally realized that even the servants in his fathers house were living better than he was. He was hungry and in a pig pen. He realized that he could have all his needs met if he could just get back home to his father. When our need is great, our Father is greater.That is so true. When we get hungry, down and out, and in need, if we will turn to our heavenly father, those needs can be met. Come on home, prodigal. We love you and are expecting you.

Today we had an awesome message from our Pastor, Rev. David Smith. Taken from Isaiah, chapters 36 and 37. In 36 verse 13, then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria. Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you; for he shall not be able to deliver you. 14 Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord.... Oh my goodness, I'm sure he didn't understand that Hezekiah indeed would not be able to deliver the Jews, but neither would he have to. Because King Jesus doesn't need any help. In chapter 37 verse 6-7 And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say unto your master, Thus saith the Lord, Be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and return to his own land, and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land. And God delivered the Jews from the king of Assyria without any help at all. There is nothing that my God can't take care of. He will not be mocked and he will surely be there for his children. I am so glad that I am one of His and live for Him. What a wonderful life. It don't get any better than living for Jesus.
