A Christian’s “personal revelation” will never supersede the Bible. It should always be judged by other believers based on the Scriptures. “God told me so” is not a pass to justify whatever you wish, but should be a signal that it needs to be submitted to the brethren for confirmation.

Are you preparing yourself for the time when your current leaders and mentors pass on to glory? Are you mindful of filling their shoes and ministering to the generations that follow you? Yes, we encourage one another, but we also develop our direct relationship with the Father. There may come a time when there’s no one to call upon except for the Lord.

Do we ever consider giving God everything we have? It’s challenging just to think about it. May we cultivate a faith that trusts God so completely that we see Him as our provision and that we’re able to give up our possessions for his service.

Do Christians really understand what “Nevertheless, not my will, but your’s,
be done”?
Believers need to constantly be aware of their submission to God and putting their fleshly desires to death. Following Christ and being effective in ministry has a discipline few are willing to accept.
