Tomorrow, June 11 — In a powerful spiritual moment tied to America’s 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Catholic bishops will solemnly consecrate the entire nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Preparations are happening across the country: parishes, families, and dioceses are joining in prayer, with a special Novena leading up to this historic act. The consecration will take place during the bishops’ Spring Plenary Assembly in Orlando and will be livestreamed for the whole nation to participate.

This is the first time in U.S. history that the country is being formally consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus — a beautiful act of trust in Christ’s mercy and love for our nation.
