St. Philip the Apostle will be hosting an Inclusive Thanksgiving Mass on Saturday, November 16th at 1:00 p.m. This special service will take place at the accessible Ministry Center, offering a shorter, less crowded worship setting that allows for greater freedom of movement. The lighting will be softer, and the music will be calming. Low-gluten hosts will also be available for those with dietary restrictions.

If you plan to attend, please leave a message with your name, the number of attendees, and a contact number for Elaine at (716) 553-2618 or via email at [email protected].

Ever wonder what the difference between Diocesan and Religious priests are? Here are some key differences:

- Diocesan priests are called to serve the faithful within a geographical area (diocese) under the leadership of a bishop. Religious priests on the other hand, belong to a religious order and often live in community with other members of their order.

- Diocesan priests are accountable to the bishop, while religious priests are accountable to the superior of their religious order.

- Diocesan priests primary focus on the pastoral care of the local community (celebrating Mass, administering the sacraments, etc). Religious priests may have a more specialized ministry such as teaching or missionary work in addition to their pastoral work.
