THE LOVE OF GOD
God's love is his word. Jesus is the word of God. You cannot have one without the other. Love is God's good will and his desire for the well being of our soul. The ultimate purpose of God's love/word (Jesus) is to deliver souls from the captivity of the devil who is the cause of afflictions, hardships, pain, suffering and deprives the soul of life. Man who is apart from divine influence is in the control of a master (the devil) of loves to sin. God's love is for all mankind but we have to submit to his word (Jesus) to remain in the good will and well being that God has for our souls. The only way out of the captivity of the devil is for souls to turn from the desires of the mere human nature and turn to the word of God which is the power of God to deliverance from sin. Many people are deceived to think they can continue in the mere human nature apart from divine influence and still have the benefits of God's love. You cannot be apart from God in your actions and the way you live by not submitting to him as Lord of your soul and expect for your soul to benefit from God. Jesus came that we might have life (spiritual and eternal life) and life more abundantly. Everybody have not received life for their soul. Those that are spiritually dead on judgement day will be cast into the lake of fire. The spiritual life is the soul being made alive by the word of God. Jesus said man shall not live by bread alone but by EVERY word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. The word of God is what makes and keeps your soul alive just like bread keeps your body alive. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 10:10 The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 8:31-32; 34; 36 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue (cleave: adhere to with your soul wholly, loyally, and unwaverly) in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commit (performs or accomplishes) sin (an act of the desire/lust of the mere human nature that is forbidden by God) is the servant (disregarding the interest of the soul for the interest of the flesh) of sin. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed. Rom. 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power (strength or ability) of God unto salvation (deliverance from sin) to every one that believes (of the conviction and trust that moves one to obedience); to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. John 15:7-12 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you: continue you in my love. 10 If you KEEP my commandments (words), you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. 12 This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you. Matt. 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. John 6:63 It is the spirit (soul) that quickened (made alive); the flesh ( mere human nature apart from divine influence) profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. Rom. 2:7-11 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: 8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honor, and peace, to every man that works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
