In 2000, two separate congregations, Huff's Evangelical Lutheran Church and Huff's United Church of Christ, who had worshiped in the same building for many years, began living as one. Here one finds the best of both traditions of the Reformation, with a willingness to look at the future and adapt to it. Huff's Union Council has adopted a Facebook posting policy (see below)

ff Union Church's members, friends, neighbors and visitors that would like to learn more about our worship, programs and the two denominations of which we are a member. We seek to use Facebook to equip God's people to do God's work to build up the body of Christ, the church. (paraphrase of Ephesians 4: 12)
1. Because we are concerned about privacy of those in our church, we will not post names or other identifying information for those persons younger than 18. We will not post personal addresses nor private phone numbers of any member, unless they have been publicized elsewhere and are needed for contact purposes, such as, to purchase something through a fund raiser, or to register for a program. We will not publicize ways to contact our home-bound members on the internet.
2. We expect that all postings will be kind and will "build up the body of Christ."
3. We expect that all postings will be for the benefit of the entire group. If you have a question that is specific to you, please address it to our pastor through Facebook messenger, e-mail (found on our website--www.huffschurch.com), or phone the church office. Please do not feel offended if we remove postings applicable to one person only.
4. We will not link to anything for profit. Our links will be to our denominational sites, or to non profits, which we support.
5. Sometimes you may not agree with a denomination's stance on a particular issue. Please view such postings in a charitable manner, and as ways to challenge us to listen to another point of view. This is not a forum for arguing theological points or their political applications.
6. We ask you to refrain from posting anything supporting a particular political candidate or party, or that might be considered to be negative to a particular group of people.
7. If there are those who deliberately post the same material repeatedly, or bulk upload material, the excess material will be removed.
8. If there are those who continue to not follow our boundaries, the person would be graciously reminded of our boundaries, but eventually be removed by an administrator.

We will have the Blessing of the Animals during the service! Feel free to bring your furry, feathered, or scaly friends to our final Outdoor Worship Service of 2026. Appropriately leashed/contained pets and livestock are welcome to attend and receive a blessing from Pastor Mike. If you are concerned about your own pet’s socialization, feel free to bring a photo.

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS - DISCOUNTED COST FOR AGES 5-12 - ENROLLMENT EXTENDED
Music Director, Kathy Anthony, is offering private piano lessons and private voice lessons to the community for ages 5 through adult at the Church. Lesson times of 30 minutes to an hour are based on student’s age and are available on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the possibility of offering another day/evening based on the response. A parent or guardian must remain at the church for any students under the age of 18.
Initially, as we adjust to the response for lessons at Huff’s, this August is designated for interview lessons with Kathy to see if lessons are right for you. If so, then make a commitment to a semester’s worth of lessons starting in September. Cost is $50 for 30 minutes or $100 for an hour, with the length determined by the student’s age. Piano lessons are discounted to $40 for 30 minutes for students ages 5-12.
The first semester begins in September 2026 through December 2026. The second semester begins in February 2027 through May 2027. Payment is made at the first scheduled lesson of each month. Lesson books will be selected for the student’s level to purchase.

Hey Kids! Sunday School will resume in September! We welcome you to join us and learn about the Lord. In order for Sunday School to continue throughout the year, teachers and helpers are needed. The curriculum is easy to use online and designed for a multi-age group, including suggestions for telling the Bible Story, crafts, games, etc. Join a team of teachers who sign up to teach one, two, or three months spread out through the year as works best for your schedule. Helpers are also needed to ensure we have 2 adults with PA Child Protection Clearances every Sunday. Contact Kara Benfield, ministry assistant, at [email protected] for more information.
