Nearly all of the children living in the Gospel Houses were rescued from abortion. Through the faithful work of Dr. Hang and her team, these children now have the opportunity to grow up surrounded by care, support, and the love of Christ. Thanks be to God for every life that has been saved and every child who now has hope for the future.

Through long-standing relationships with the medical community in Ho Chi Minh City, Vital Links partners with the University School of Nursing and the Vietnamese Nurses Association to provide training and professional development opportunities for nurses and medical professionals. These partnerships strengthen relationships, expand learning opportunities, and open doors for meaningful ministry.

Some babies rescued through the Grace House ministry are unable to remain with their birth mothers. These children are cared for in Gospel Houses, foster homes where they are raised in loving Christian families. Today about 40 children live in four Gospel House locations where they receive care, stability, education, and the message of Jesus Christ.

Vietnam has one of the highest abortion rates in Asia. Through the pro-life ministry known locally as Grace House, Dr. Hang and her team have helped nearly 300 women choose life since 2005. This ministry continues to offer hope and support to mothers facing difficult decisions. Pray for the women and families served through this life-giving ministry.

Vital Links for Humanity was founded in 1995 by Lutheran nurses Tom and Carol Miles and became part of Awakening Lives to World Missions in 2018. This unique ministry connects medical outreach, pro-life rescue, clean water initiatives, and leadership training to share the love of Christ throughout Vietnam. Through partnerships with local churches and medical professionals, Vital Links continues to serve communities with compassion and the message of the Gospel.

Dr. Hang leads the Vital Links for Humanity ministry team in Vietnam along with Project Manager Van and a group of volunteer doctors, nurses, and pharmacists. Through their leadership, medical outreach clinics, pro-life ministry, and community outreach continue reaching communities throughout Vietnam. Pray for wisdom, strength, and continued opportunities for this team as they faithfully serve in Jesus’ name.

Vital Links teams provide medical and evangelism outreach clinics in poor rural areas of Vietnam. Volunteer doctors, nurses, and pharmacists serve patients who often have little access to medical care. These clinics are hosted by partner churches who serve their communities in Jesus’ name. As physical needs are met, opportunities grow to build relationships and share the hope of the Gospel.

Vietnam is home to nearly 100 million people and many ethnic groups. In many communities, access to the Gospel is still limited. Through Awakening Lives to World Missions and the Vital Links for Humanity ministry, compassionate outreach and Gospel witness go hand in hand as churches serve their communities in Jesus’ name. Pray for open doors and bold witness as the Gospel of Jesus Christ continues to be shared throughout Vietnam.
