Isa 43:18-21

18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.

21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. KJVI

A NEW THING! Rivers in the desert! Whoever heard of such a thing? Isaiah prophesied and said to forget the hardships of the past, forget your reliance on old things because God is doing a “new thing.” Rivers of water are springing up in the wilderness or the wastelands. Places that had no water and had no life are transformed by life-giving waters. The Lord is saying to forget the struggles of the past. The places that have been a desert in your life are now becoming rivers. The places that were parched are now being refreshed by the rain of the Holy Spirit. The waters of life are freely flowing to Him that is thirsty. Ezekiel 47:9-12 tells us that wherever the water goes, it brings life and healing. Psalm 1 tells us about the man who is planted by the rivers of water and the abundance of fruit that is produced in his life. Beloved come to the waters of life and drink. Be refreshed and let God do a new thing in your life.

1 Thess 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. KJV

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. KJV

Did you know that you are a three-fold being, spirit, soul and body? The bible tells us that God is a spirit, and we must worship Him in spirit and in truth. When we are born into the family of God, it is our spirit that is made alive to God. We are new creatures in Christ. We do not have new bodies or new minds when we accept Jesus, but our spirit man is made alive in Christ. We are designed by God for our spirit man to dominate . Our mind if not renewed will and always argue with what our spirit is telling us . It will try to reason us out of the plan of God. What can we do about this unruly mind? The bible tells in Rom 12:2 exactly how to conquer this conflict. KJV-And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. AMPC- Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. Your mind is renewed in the word of God. Ps 1 tells us that the man who loves God’s word and meditates on it day and night will think in line with the Word and then His spirit will dominate him and his mind will work with his spirit and as a result he will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water and whatever he does will prosper. Child of God, walk in the spirit, which is a place of great victory. Rejoice evermore!

2 Chron 15:4 But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them. KJV

Neh 8:10 “…: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” KJV

What do you do when trouble comes knocking at your door? Do you struggle trying to figure out how to triumph in trouble? That awful habit or addiction is literally choking the life out of you. Sickness and disease are robbing you and how do you pay your bills? You believe God heals, saves, and delivers, but you just don’t seem to be victorious.

God promised in His Word that when trouble comes, if you turn to the Lord and seek Him, that He will be found of you. Your trouble may even be a result of your own doing. Listen turn to God with all of your heart for He is a very present help in time of need. “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5) You may be encountering a dark night, but God’s Word says that joy cometh. The force of joy comes. The joy of the Lord will give you strength to overcome and strength to receive the promise. Go ahead and laugh in the face of adversity. It has been said, “if the devil can’t steal your joy, he can’t have your goods.” Yield to the joy that is on the inside of you. Child of God, Rejoice and again I say rejoice.
