I am delighted to invite you to join the Mosaic Spring Gathering on Saturday May 2. This online event will celebrate the launch of Mosaic Congregations, a movement to cultivate antiracist, multicultural Unitarian Universalist communities grounded in justice, healing, and shared power.

During the time together, speakers will introduce the Mosaic framework, offer spiritual and political grounding for the work ahead, and invite congregations into a deeper practice of Beloved Community. Learn more and register at the link in the comments below.

We are so proud that 3 of our former Intern Ministers were in Minneapolis yesterday in a coordinated effort that brought 600 multi-faith clergy together to witness and protest against ICE. Thank you Revs. James Galasinski, Kristin Famula, and Ron Ahnen for siding with love and justice.

For many trans, nonbinary, gender nonconfomring, gender expansive, and intersex people, navigating travel, family expectations, boundaries, and emotional strain during the holidays can be especially difficult. If this season brings added stress, misgendering, or the need to make your way through unsafe or unwelcoming spaces, we want you to know: we are holding you.

We’re sharing this article from Point of Pride as a supportive resource, offering gentle, practical reminders for caring for yourself, honoring your needs, and making space for what brings you steadiness and joy this season:

I send my love and blessings to all who will gather to light the menorah on this first night of Hanukkah. These eight days of sacred remembrance of ancestors whose faith saw them through a period of deep struggle and uncertainty offer a hopeful teaching for us all.

May this sacred Jewish tradition remind us that miracles are possible and that the love of one another, in deep connection and community, lends strength to carry us through difficult times.

What is your relationship to Covenant and First Unitarian? We adopted a new Congregational Covenant in January: https://uuabq.org/conflict-resolution-healthy-community/our-congregational-covenant/

We use the word “covenant” often in Unitarian Universalism. At its heart, covenant is the set of promises we freely make about how we’ll be with one another—how we practice care, accountability, and community without requiring the same beliefs.

Because covenant shapes so much of our shared life, we’re wondering:

❇️ Is covenant important to you? How does living in covenant shape your experience of being UU?

We’d love to hear in the comments how covenant shows up in your congregation, your relationships, and your daily life.
