⛪️ We enjoyed a wonderful celebration on Sunday morning for The Feast of St. Mary the Virgin. Daughters of the King ordered a delicious cake with a design that duplicated the service bulletin cover. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of many, this was a wonderful worship service.

O God, you have taken to yourself the blessed Virgin Mary, mother of your incarnate Son: Grant that we, who have been redeemed by his blood, may share with her the glory of your eternal kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

A memorial service for retired Episcopal Bishop, The Rt. Rev. Jerry Alban Lamb, a dear friend to many, and a compassionate spiritual leader in The Episcopal Church, was held at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Sacramento, CA on August 27.

✝️ May Jerry rest now, in peace, and rise in glory in the presence of all the Saints.

Good news from the UNMH sports medicine/ortho doctors: Our organist had the cast and stiches removed from his left elbow/arm and begins physical therapy this week. "Signs of excellent healing" was the comment from the surgeon.

🔷️ The Blessing of our new blue contemporary paraments that we will use next week for the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Patron Saint - and then again during the Season of Advent. Heartfelt thanks to our Archdeacon Patty Soukup and to our Organist/Junior Warden Mark Brasington for purchasing these for St. Mary's.

⛪️ A great afternoon on this last Sunday in August spent serving others with "Church Unbound" - providing a large crowd of our unhoused neighbors with snack bags, hygiene packs, clothing, water, pet food, and other essentials they need and have asked for as they survive yet another week on the mean streets of Albuquerque, N.M.
Of all that was collected to be distributed, only a few small bags of clothing remained.
We are so pleased to be able to provide these essentials for those in our city who have very little, but who are in great need.

Amen.
