“I was broken… but God restored me.”

Meet Henry.

After losing everything to addiction, Henry found himself on the streets—hurt, alone, and searching for peace. In his darkest moment, God made a way and led him to Steelbridge.

Today, Henry is rebuilding his life with faith at the center. He’s found peace, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose—learning to let go of the past and step into who God is calling him to be.

His heart now? To help others, serve God, and turn his story into hope for someone else.

There was a time I walked into Steelbridge full of uncertainty, fear, and questions about my future.

Now, that same season shapes how I serve others.

Because I remember what it felt like, I meet the men here with patience, compassion, and understanding. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply show up, listen, and remind someone they’re not alone.

God didn’t waste that season—He’s using it.

Meet Jared.

After incarceration, Jared made the choice to step into something different. At Steelbridge, he’s learning how to process his emotions, stay sober, and build a life rooted in faith.

Today, he’s growing into a hardworking man, gaining skills in the electrical field, and learning what it means to stand on his own.

His goal is simple but powerful: independence, purpose, and a strong foundation in Christ.

Baptism is a public confession of my decision to follow Christ. It signifies that the old me is gone, and a new me is born. Through faith, I’ve learned to see the world differently—through God’s eyes. I’m less focused on myself, and more focused on loving my neighbor.

My commitment to God has grown stronger, and following Jesus has taught me to truly love others as I love myself. His guidance and inspiration continue to shape the way I live each day.

After years of addiction, homelessness, and running, God never left his side. Through every dark moment, His mercy carried him—and His grace transformed him.

Today, he’s living sober, rooted in God’s Word, and serving others at Steelbridge with compassion born from experience.

He doesn’t just see the struggle—he’s lived it. And now, God is using his story for something greater.

My Lord and King,
As we face dilemmas and challenges, it settles our hearts to know that You are with us. Only in You can we find the peace, strength, and courage to continue our walk. Our goal is to be in union with You and Your Kingdom, and Your Word is the promise that makes this goal present.
As it says in 1 John 4:17, “…as He is, so are we in this world.” Thank You, Father, for such an awesome revelation.
