One of the reasons I love celebrating Sts. Adrian and Natalia is that they remind us of something we sometimes forget**… Holiness isn’t reserved for monasteries.** You don’t have to be a monk or a nun to become a saint. Marriage and family life can also become a path to holiness. A husband and wife can become holy together. A marriage can become a path to the Kingdom. A family can become a little church where we learn to love, sacrifice, forgive, repent, and follow Christ. Adrian and Natalia were husband and wife, and when persecution came, Natalia encouraged her husband to remain faithful to Christ—even unto death. Their witness reminds us that **marriage isn’t an obstacle to holiness. It can be one of the places where holiness is found…**Join us tomorrow morning as we celebrate the memory of the Holy Martyrs Adrian and Natalia.

⏰ Divine Liturgy: 9:30–10:30 AM

Holy Martyrs Adrian and Natalia, pray for us and for our marriages and families! ☦️

WELL… I WAS WRONG….

Last week I said we were bursting at the seams with 71 youth registered for Sunday School.

Apparently, I spoke too soon.
We are now at 96 REGISTERED! 😳

NINETY-SIX young people.

What an incredible blessing—and, yes, now we really ARE bursting at the seams!
This is the kind of problem every church should pray to have: more children, more families, more new faces, and more young people growing up knowing and loving Jesus Christ and His Church.
A huge thank you to our Church School teachers and volunteers. With 96 kids, I think “thank you” may need to be followed by “Lord, have mercy.” 😂
Please keep our children, their families, and especially our teachers in your prayers as we begin this new Church School year.
96 kids.
Glory to God! And… we may need a bigger classroom.

Discovering Orthodoxy — Tomorrow After Divine Liturgy

Have you ever wondered what happens at the altar before the Divine Liturgy begins?

Tomorrow’s Discovering Orthodoxy class will explore the Proskomide (Prothesis)—the preparation of the bread and w**e for the Divine Liturgy.

We’ll look at the prosphora, the Lamb, the commemorations of the Theotokos and the saints, and why the priest removes particles for the living and the departed.

Most importantly, we’ll discover the beautiful picture the Proskomide gives us of the Church: Christ at the center, surrounded by His Mother, the saints, and all those for whom we pray.

📚 BACK TO CHURCH SCHOOL! ☦️

What a wonderful first day back!

As of today, we have 71 youth registered for Sunday School! 🎉 We are truly bursting at the seams—and what a blessing that is!

It was also wonderful to see so many new friends and new faces at Liturgy and Fellowship Hour today. Our parish family is growing, and we are so thankful to welcome each and every one of you to St. George!

A HUGE thank you to our Church School teachers and volunteers who give their time and love to help our children grow in Christ and His Church.

Please keep our 71 young people, their families, and their teachers in your prayers as we begin another year together.

Glory to God for this beautiful problem to have! ❤️☦️
