Our series of messages for the church year season of Lent began last Sunday. Our focus will be on the fascinating story of Peter--the fisherman, the disciple, and the great apostle of Jesus Christ. This same Peter was also arrogant, impulsive and in denial about his own weakness. In other words, Peter is a mixture of great accomplishments and troubling flaws--a lot like us. We'll journey with Peter using the theme, "Beyond Denial: Finding Yourself in Peter's Story." You're invited to join us Sunday at 11am.

Our Advent series of services this year focuses on the theme, "When God Breaks In." On Sunday, December 24 we'll consider how God broke into the life of Mary, the young virgin who was told she would become the mother of Jesus, the Messiah. Mary was taken aback and troubled by this incredible news. But her humble faith and obedient submission resulted in God accomplishing great things through her. What might God want to "give birth to" through you? Are you willing to trust yourself completely to him and the work of his Holy Spirit? You're invited to join us at 11am.

Our Advent series of services this year focuses on the theme, "When God Breaks In." This coming Sunday we'll consider how God broke into the life of Jonah, the reluctant prophet to Nineveh, who was stretched into obeying God. But was his heart stretched enough to celebrate God's love, compassion and salvation for others--even Jonah's enemies? Are ours? Plan on joining us at 11:00am.

The church year season of Advent begins on December 3. Our series of services this year will focus on the theme, "When God Breaks In." The birth of Jesus was a powerful in-breaking of God's presence and kingdom--as the return of Jesus will be at the end of history. However, God has an ongoing way of breaking into history to bring his salvation and transformation. We'll consider some of the times and ways he's done this in the past, with the anticipation of knowing that God also wants to break into our lives with his presence and kingdom. Who knows how God might show up in our story?!
