Enjoy a moment of Trey Pickett and Dance Church from last Sunday's service that is now exclusively posted on our YouTube channel.

Rev. Amani invites each of us to engage in the power of ritual and ceremony through these suggestions:

"1. Mark the Moment
Choose a simple way to signal: this is sacred time
Light a candle
Hold hands
Take 3 breaths together
Ring a bell / chime

2. Name What’s Real
Each person shares briefly:
Something that felt life-giving / sacred
Something that felt hard / heavy / pulling them away
No fixing. No interrupting. Just witnessing.

3. Remember Together
As a group, speak a shared truth (create your own or use one of the options below):
“We are here for each other.”
“We return to Love.”
“We don’t have to carry this alone.”
“Love is stronger than fear.”
Let this be said out loud. Let it land in the body so you can feel it."

*or anytime you feel the drift."

Join us at 4pm on Sunday, June 21st for a "Sacred Holding: The Structures That Keep Us Steady", with a Father’s Day celebration with Dance Church with Trey Pickett.

Not all of us had fathers who could hold us well. And still…There is something sacred in the Divine masculine energy of holding, protecting, steadying, and guiding. May our rituals and ceremonies hold us and steady us in trying times.

Be inspired each day with our Spirit Calling. This is a two minute recorded message in the morning and a texted affirmation in the evening.

This week, Jeff has been sharing his beautiful words of insight and wisdom on June's series, "Made Scared: Ritual and Ceremony for Our Lives. "

Rev. Amani shares, "Core Practice: Ritual as Return

Purpose:
To create a simple, personal ritual that helps you return to your center and stay connected to what is true—especially when life feels overwhelming.

Step-by-Step:
1. Choose a Real Moment
Pick a moment you already live inside: waking, leaving the house, before meals, before sleep.

2. Mark It as Sacred
Let your body know this moment matters:
Light a candle
Step outside barefoot
Place your hand on your heart
Shake a rattle, ring a bell, or take a breath

3. Connect to the Holy
Let it be simple and real:
A prayer
A whisper
A breath
A feeling of presence

4. Anchor Your Being
Not what you’ll do—but how you’ll live:
“I will stay close to Love.”
“I will not abandon myself.”
“I will move with care and courage.”

5. Return Again (and Again)
This is the practice.
Not perfection—returning."

Rev. Amani's inspirational talk is now posted on our website at abqcsl.org and on our YouTube channel. Join us today at 4pm for Rev. Amani's talk on Rituals and Ceremonies along with a wonderful song circle led by the Fab Lab.

She shares, "Ritual and ceremony are ways to celebrate and claim who we are—and stay true to it like our lives and those lives yet to come depend on it.

And when we do?

We don’t just feel better and more alive.
We become more deeply rooted in our divinity.
We become clear and unshakeable.
We become people so alive with the Love of the Divine that we are disrupters of life-threatening culture and the building blocks of beauty, harmony, and Good."

6/14 Don’t Drift: Ritual as Spiritual Rebellion

How we stay connected in a world that pulls us away. Staying rooted in Love is not passive—it’s a conscious act of resistance. Choosing rituals that anchor us to Love and each other. Celebrating with ceremony all the ways that the Sacred is moving in our lives and relationships. Fab Lab returns with music and leads our monthly Song Circle. We hope to see you today at 4pm!

Rev. Amani reminds us that choosing rituals and ceremonies gifts us powerful choices to stay mindful, engaged and grounded in Love..."Choosing presence in the constant temptation of distraction.

Choosing aliveness in a world that profits from your dissociation.

Choosing to show up ready to love when everything around you could have you contract and shrink in despair."

Now posted exclusively on our YouTube channel, a beautiful moment of our First Sunday Sound Experience.

Rev. Amani reminds us that "These practices, great and small, are so important they deserve to find their way into our lives.

This moment in time asks us not to be passive and rely on empty hope, but to dig deep and go all in on our sacred, powerful nature. Let’s make our ritual and ceremony a spiritual rebellion."

Remember to join us this Sunday at 4pm for a drum circle happening after Rev. Amani's talk.

Be inspired each day with our Spirit Calling. This is a two minute recorded message in the morning and a texted affirmation in the evening.

This week, Clarissa has been sharing her beautiful words of insight and wisdom on June's series, "Made Scared: Ritual and Ceremony for Our Lives." Join us on Sunday, June 12th for a Drum Circle following Rev. Amani's talk.

Rev. Amani shares that our ritual or ceremony can be as simple as,

"A lit candle in the morning.
Closed eyes and a breath before you head out the door to meet the day.
Remembering to reach for the hands next to you and bless your food with thanks.
A walk that becomes a conversation with the Divine instead of a scroll through the noise.

They can also be a riot of beauty and celebration—for birthdays, deaths, love-ships—where incense, music, chanting, and dancing become powerful forces of Love, returning our bodies and minds to our home in the Divine."
