This year our youth took on buying gifts for families at Family promise! From warm clothes and books to toys we had so much fun putting together the gifts for our friends at Family Promise of Albuquerque!

About Family Promise:

Family Promise of Albuquerque coordinates the compassion of our staff and volunteers to address the root causes of family homelessness. We address the issue holistically, providing prevention services before families reach crisis, shelter and case management when they become homeless, and stabilization programs once they have secured housing to ensure they remain independent. We tap existing local resources to empower families towards economic stability. Families come to us in crisis; we help them rebuild their lives with new skills and ongoing support.

🎄 Learn about our Mission Partners through the advent tree!

Since 1989, Rio Grande Food Project (RGFP) has provided members of our surrounding community with free supplemental groceries and kind, compassionate support. Originally started by members of Rio Grande Presbyterian Church, Rio Grande Food Project became an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2004, and has continued growing and evolving in response to community need each year since. Today, RGFP continues to provide free groceries to thousands of people each year, along with additional services and resources to help address root causes of food insecurity through our Community Hub. Since 2019, RGFP has operated a dynamic onsite garden, growing fresh fruits and vegetables harvested for immediate distribution back into the community.

🎄About the advent tree: Each year we choose a few of our partners to go on our advent tree and do a targeted drive for certain items they need! The tree is up this year from November 30-December 24.

🎄 Learn about our Mission Partners through the advent tree!

The Barrett House Emergency Shelter offers emergency shelter to adult individuals, who identify as female, and their children who are experiencing homelessness. Residents may participate in the shelter program for up to 4 months. All residents are provided with 3 meals a day, access to laundry facilities and a computer lab, and supportive case management services. Case management consists of referrals to resources and benefits, as well as linking residents with community programs that aim to empower them towards achieving stable housing.

🎄 Learn about our Mission Partners through the advent tree!

Albuquerque Healthcare for the Homeless:
ABQ healthcare for the homeless (AHCH) is an invaluable resource in our community. They provided countless services to some of the most vulnerable people in our city including: medical and dental clinics, a volunteer run vision clinic, a pharmacy, mental health services, social services, outreach and a community art studio. Right now they are in desperate need of warm clothing items like hats and gloves. Whether you plan to participate in our advent tree or want to support AHCH directly please consider supporting them in this way.
