Cristy Dockter has been our resident librarian. Each week she has spent time reading stories in English to the campers. Kids have loved reading along! She also can rock a handstand in the sea!

On Wednesday evening, we closed out our first week of camp by sharing our hopes for Ukraine that we wrote on a kite and shared our wishes as we passed around a candle on the beach. It was heartfelt and beautiful moment together 💜

On Monday evening, campers, mothers and volunteers participated in a series of relay races! And we had a great time that ended in a three way tie!

Today was the first full day of camp in Bulgaria and it has been a blast! From swimming in the Black Sea to reading books and playing games together we are having an incredible time!

Did you know, nearly 50% of college students are food insecure? As people of faith we believe no one should have to wonder where their next meal will come from. We joined COMIDA, a local coalition lead by Central United Methodist Church to partner with other faith communities to help end food insecurity on college campus’.

On Sunday, during our potluck, we filled shampoo and conditioner bottles to help end food insecurity for university students. These bottles will be placed in school food banks. By using the shampoo by the food banks students have to spend less on hygiene items they could save their money for other necessities, like 🍲 . Thank you First Pres. and COMIDA for making this happen and for loving our community!
