Last week we observed Rohatsu Sesshin commemorating the enlightenment of Shakyamuni Buddha. Our focus during the retreat was embodying Noble Silence in all its forms, through body, speech, and mind.
A huge thank you to all who joined us both in-person and online! Sangha members joined not only from Albuquerque but also Las Cruces, Santa Fe, and the states of Arizona, Colorado, and Washington.
The weekend concluded with Sanbo Tokudo where sangha member Lisbeth Choku Carlisle took refuge in the Three Treasures and formally committed to living the Buddha Way. Choku is a gifted bead artist and gifted the sangha a wonderful beaded Buddha.
May all be released from suffering!
