🔥 BIG IGNITE ANNOUNCEMENT! 🔥
We are excited to officially welcome Matt Gaff as the new Digital Director at ignite Community Church.
Matt brings a passion for Jesus, a heart for people, and a wealth of leadership and technology experience that will help us continue reaching more people with the Gospel both inside and outside our walls.
But that’s not all…
We are also thrilled to announce that Matt is joining the Ignite Teaching Team, serving alongside Pastor Gran, who will be coaching Matt, as we continue to build disciples who make disciples.
And there’s even more exciting news…
This week, Matt officially enrolled in Pastoral Leadership Institute (PLI) — the same training program that helped develop and prepare Pastor Gran for ministry through the Missionary Church. As Matt continues his theological education and works toward licensing within the Missionary Church, it is our hope he will be preparing for a future role as Associate Pastor here at Ignite Community Church.
Matt and his amazing wife Amy are Noble County residents who reside in Ligonier and have been married for 26 years (29 years together!). They are the proud parents of two awesome boys: Liam, who loves band, drones, and streaming, and Ryker, who loves music and helping with just about everything.
Many of you already know Matt from his servant heart, his willingness to jump in wherever needed, and his ability to somehow keep technology functioning on Sunday mornings. (Which, let's be honest, may be his greatest miracle.) previously he served in a similar role with our friends at Stones Hill Community Church, as both a tech.audio coordinator, but also as a Fight Club leader and as a member of their elder board.
Matt served our country as an Army Combat Medic from 2006–2015, including a deployment to Iraq. He has led teams under pressure, solved problems in difficult situations, and apparently survived driving a little too close to Iran.
As Digital Director, Matt will help Ignite continue expanding our digital ministry, online presence, technology systems, livestreaming, media, and communications so we can reach more people with the hope of Jesus.
A few things we've learned about Matt:

🍕 Pepperoni is the only acceptable pizza topping
🍍 Pineapple on pizza is apparently a church discipline issue
🍬 Skittles are his road trip weakness (don't tell his doctor)
🎬 Favorite movie: Spaceballs
🚁 Favorite hobby: Flying drones
💻 Most likely to be found fixing technology while muttering, "I got a bad feeling about this."
And when asked what he would tell Ignite, his answer was simple:

And for those wondering who would win in a foot race between Matt and Pastor Gran...
