🪙 “Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” — Matthew 22:21

Taxes, politics, and tricky questions—some things never seem to change! When Jesus’ opponents tried to trap Him, He answered with wisdom they never saw coming.

Caesar’s image was stamped on the coin. But whose image is stamped on you? You were created by God, and in Christ, you belong to Him. Our money, our possessions, and our daily responsibilities all have their place—but our hearts and lives belong to the Lord who made us and redeemed us.

Caesar gets the coin. God gets YOU! ❤️✝️

Come worship with us this Sunday as we hear Jesus’ answer and remember whose we are!

Prayers requested by Deaconess Carolyn Lindenmuth . I received a phone call from Director Sarah Sekki of Hearts of Mercy & Compassion, a branch of Lutheran Church Charities,https://www.lutheranchurchcharities.org/ which is an LCMS Recognized Service Organization (RSO). They are coming tomorrow to reach out to the Erie area in view of the tragedy that happened Friday where ten members of a family were killed on the east side of Erie. Here is a video I found of what they have done in the past. http://youtube.com/watch?v=eJyAAlxxr6o&time_continue=34...
Sarah herself was a student at Our Shepherd Lutheran School- Painesville the school associated with Zion Lutheran Church Painesville , my first Lutheran home. I didn't know her, but her mom is Marielis Sekki. The headquarters of the ministry is in the Chicago area. David & I are meeting a team of nine plus 3 comfort dogs tomorrow to minister in the area where the murders happened to help the neighborhood grieve.

Lutheran Church Charities (near Chicago, Illinois) works with you to share the mercy, compassion, presence and proclamation of Jesus Christ to those who are suffering and in need throughout the United States and internationally.

✝️ “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.” — Matthew 21:42

The world may overlook what seems small, ordinary, or insignificant—but God has a way of building His kingdom through what the world does not expect. Christ, the Stone rejected by men, is the Cornerstone of His Church.

This Lutheran Women in Mission Sunday, we give thanks for women who serve Christ by sharing the Gospel, supporting missions, praying faithfully, and putting mercy into action. Their work is not built on human strength or recognition, but on Christ the Cornerstone. 💜

Come worship with us as we rejoice in the Savior who builds His Church and calls His people to serve wherever He has placed them.
