03/13/2026
Good afternoon brothers and sisters, I am so sorry to have to cancel our gathering this evening. Between the high winds and a semi that has blown over on US-33, as well as a second accident between Wolf Lake and Kimmell, the roads are just not safe for us to be out.
Let’s go ahead and move our meeting to Friday, April 17, 2026. Hopefully, we will have much calmer spring weather by then! In the meantime, please join me in praying for the safety of everyone on the roads today. We especially lift up our local first responders who are working hard at these accident scenes—we pray that everyone involved will be okay. Stay safe and warm!
Heavenly Father, We come before You today acknowledging Your power over the heavens and the earth. As powerful winds sweep across the land today—toppling trees, swaying high-profile vehicles, and creating hazards on our roads—we ask for Your divine hand of protection. Lord, we ask for safe travel mercies for every person behind the wheel. Grant them sharp focus, steady hands, and the wisdom to slow down. We especially lift up the truck drivers and those in high-profile vehicles who are battling crosswinds; keep their tires firmly on the pavement and lead them safely to their destinations. We pray fervently for those who have already been impacted by accidents today. For the injured, we ask for Your healing touch and a swift recovery. For those shaken by a close call or a collision, please calm their spirits and provide them with the resources and support they need in the aftermath. Lord, protect the men and women who run toward the danger while others seek shelter. As police, firefighters, EMTs, and utility crews work in these blustery and unpredictable conditions, surround them with Your angels. Give them clarity of mind to make split-second decisions and keep them safe from falling debris and secondary accidents as they serve our communities.
We rest in the promise that You are our shelter and our strength, no matter how hard the wind may blow.
In Your holy name, we pray.
Amen.
