The United Methodist Church is a global denomination that opens hearts, opens minds and opens doors through active engagement with our world. The mission of The United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. A United Methodist is someone who joins in that mission by putting faith and love into action. We believe that God loves all people, and that

we share in expressing that love. So the United Methodist tradition emphasizes God's grace and in serving others. We believe that Jesus Christ is the fullest expression of God's love--showing us the fullness of God's care through Jesus' teachings, death and resurrection. John Wesley started the Methodist movement in 18th century England. His teachings on practical divinity (living out our faith) and appeals to reason and experience form important aspects of United Methodist practice today. We continue to livestream our worship each week for those who are unable to join us live in person and hold a streaming license Number 504366270. Doors open at 8:30 am for fellowship. Worship begins at 9am. We off Children's church, Women of Faith and adult Bible study during week along with yearlong missional activities. We are community focused and serving the Lord here at Wolf Lake and all around the world.

Good afternoon brothers and sisters, I am so sorry to have to cancel our gathering this evening. Between the high winds and a semi that has blown over on US-33, as well as a second accident between Wolf Lake and Kimmell, the roads are just not safe for us to be out.
Let’s go ahead and move our meeting to Friday, April 17, 2026. Hopefully, we will have much calmer spring weather by then! In the meantime, please join me in praying for the safety of everyone on the roads today. We especially lift up our local first responders who are working hard at these accident scenes—we pray that everyone involved will be okay. Stay safe and warm!
Heavenly Father, We come before You today acknowledging Your power over the heavens and the earth. As powerful winds sweep across the land today—toppling trees, swaying high-profile vehicles, and creating hazards on our roads—we ask for Your divine hand of protection. Lord, we ask for safe travel mercies for every person behind the wheel. Grant them sharp focus, steady hands, and the wisdom to slow down. We especially lift up the truck drivers and those in high-profile vehicles who are battling crosswinds; keep their tires firmly on the pavement and lead them safely to their destinations. We pray fervently for those who have already been impacted by accidents today. For the injured, we ask for Your healing touch and a swift recovery. For those shaken by a close call or a collision, please calm their spirits and provide them with the resources and support they need in the aftermath. Lord, protect the men and women who run toward the danger while others seek shelter. As police, firefighters, EMTs, and utility crews work in these blustery and unpredictable conditions, surround them with Your angels. Give them clarity of mind to make split-second decisions and keep them safe from falling debris and secondary accidents as they serve our communities.
We rest in the promise that You are our shelter and our strength, no matter how hard the wind may blow.
In Your holy name, we pray.
Amen.

Good morning and God bless you on all this Ash Wednesday,

I pray you will be able to join us this evening at 6 pm for our special combined service at Wolf Lake UMC.

Merciful God of New Beginnings, on this day of dust and devotion, we return to you, seeking clean hearts and renewed spirits. We offer our gifts as signs of our desire to be reconciled—not only to you, but to one another and to a world aching for healing. Receive what we bring—our resources, our repentance, and our resolve—as tools you may use to mend what is broken, build what is needed, and proclaim your redeeming love. Strengthen us to walk this Lenten journey together, shaped by grace, grounded in community, and sustained by hope. In the name of Christ, our reconciliation and peace. Amen.
