Weekly Reflections: Living to Please God & Walking in Purity 🙏

✨In this week's study covering 1 Thessalonians 4–5 and Leviticus 22–24, we're reminded of what it means to live a life set apart for God:

📖 1 Thessalonians 4–5:Do more and more: Living for God isn't a "one-time event"—it’s a daily 24/7, 365 lifestyle. Walk in Light: We are called to live soberly, suit up with faith, love, and hope, and continuously encourage and build up one another. The Daily Checklist: Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances (1 Thess 5:16-18).

📖 Leviticus 22–24:Holiness & Reverence: God set clear guidelines for priests and offerings, showing that inner purity and respect for God's holiness come before sacred service. Appointed Feasts: From the Sabbath to the Day of Atonement, God laid out intentional times of rest, reflection, and worship for His people.

Let's carry these reminders into our week—encouraging the weak, being patient with everyone, and keeping our hearts focused on Him!

Weekly Devotional Reflections 📖✨

Here are key insights and takeaways from this week’s readings:

🔹 Standing Firm in Faith (1 Thessalonians 1–3):
Paul, Silas, and Timothy encourage the church in Thessalonica, commending them for work produced by faith, labor prompted by love, and endurance inspired by hope. Even amidst hostility and trials, their faith stayed strong and served as a model for others.

Reflection: What is something you know you need to do for God that keeps getting put on the back burner?

🔹 Living Set Apart (Leviticus 19–21):
God calls His people to be holy as He is holy, outlining principles for daily living, fairness, loving one's neighbor, and maintaining spiritual integrity.

Key Takeaway: Staying faithful takes intentionality and daily commitment to follow God's calling.

Sunday - Epistle Date: August 16, 2026 Day 196 Greetings! Good Sunday morning! The church was a-buzz yesterday as Neighborhood Table was underway and many helpers were cleaning out and cleaning up! The church looks great and it always feels good to “unclutter”! I’m proud of how ou...

✨ Setting Our Minds on Things Above & Living Holy Lives ✨

This week’s study takes us from the letters of Paul to the laws in Leviticus, highlighting what it truly means to live set apart for God:

📖 Colossians 3–4: Paul encourages us to set our hearts and minds on things above! We are called to put away anger, slander, and greed, and instead put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, and love. In everything we do—whether in word or deed—do it with gratitude in your heart!

🕊️ Leviticus 16–18: We look at the Day of Atonement and God’s specific instructions for holiness. God called the Israelites to leave behind the harmful practices of Egypt and Canaan and live by His standard of purity and reverence.

💡 Takeaway: God calls us to live intentionally—clothing ourselves in love, practicing forgiveness, walking in wisdom, and remaining devoted to prayer.

Sunday - Epistle Date: August 9, 2026 Day 189 Greetings! Good Sunday Morning! I hope you have had a wonderful weekend and I hope to see you at church! What do you think of when you think of heaven? I think of streets of gold, angels, vibrant colors, a mansion of enormous size, lot...
