Father forgive us for our human apprehension of impatience, adversity, misfortune, control, worry, fear and anxiety. The very things wetry to prevent others from suffering sometimes happen anyway, and that’s a very hard thing sometimes to understand. We pray today that You will help us to abide in You even more. Bless our hearts with great faith, our daily steps of obedience, and grant us lives full of evident trust in Your gracious love. Amen.

Lord, this week as we celebrate the founding of our nation, we are reminded of its humble beginnings, of 13 colonies united against a tyrantical monarchy. We remember the determination of our founding fathers who, threw compromise and cooperation, brought forth a new nation that today in our minds there’s no rival here on earth. However Lord, even as we rejoice, we recognize the first of divisiveness now threatening our nation; the lack of cooperation and compromise, the failure to communicate with one another. Father, we ask that You Reach out and he’ll our nation that it may truly live up to the ideals upon which it was founded. In your name, we pray, Amen.
