Friendship Central Child Development of Central United Methodist Church Welcome to our page! We hope to promote, educate, inform and organize our preschool program with a forum for parents and staff.

Friendship Central Child Development (FCCD) opened in 1990 to provide a quality learning environment and safe, caring educational program for toddlers and K-5 children. Our reputation is one of experience (over 20 years), consistency (all staff have been here 8-20 years), safety (practices Safe Sanctuary Policy, requiring 2 adults present at all times with children), relationships (low student/tea

cher ratio) and tradition (seasonal activities and children's events). Conveniently located in downtown Albemarle, CEDE offers preschoolers a chance to develop social skills and their foundation for a love of learning by the use of books, arts and crafts, music, holiday celebrations, recreational play, field trips and pre-Kindergarten milestones.
