Please forgive us for any excessive posting, messaging or emailing these next few days. We're entering our annual matched crowdfunding campaign starting Sunday Dec 21st at 11am and it runs until Tuesday Dec 23rd at 5pm. Thankfully we have many alumni, parents and friends, but it takes a lot to get the message out and let people know.

Don't worry - this won't last! This barrage is only for the 54 hours of the campaign - during which every dollar is matched by pledges from generous donors and friends of Shabbos House.

But this year's campaign is titled "LIGHTS THAT LAST" because while the emails and posts and messaging will slow back to normal, the experience at Shabbos House is a lasting one for students here, and for alumni as they move on in life. Some of Shabbos House sticks with them and their families for years to come. The degree of "lasting" varies by person and circumstance, of course, but in our communications with alumni over time, it seems that thankfully, some things stick. The light does last...

All funds donated to the campaign up to the $136K goal (and perhaps higher if we reach a bonus round in time) will be matched dollar for dollar, doubling your mitzvah, and the much-needed funds to keep Shabbos House going strong. This is our single largest fundraiser of the year, it goes a long way and makes a huge difference!

The beauty of this campaign is the collective cumulative effort. This isn't a few donors supporting everything we do. It never was that way at Shabbos House. It truly "takes a village" to keep Shabbos House going. Every gift adds up, no matter the amount, it all helps reach the goal together.

We went with "LIGHTS THAT LAST" theme because this campaign begins on the 7th day of Chanukah but continues on until Tuesday, the day after Chanukah this year. Wishing you and yours a happy end of Chanukah, may its blessings continue to shine for you and for all of our people.

HOMECOMING WKND 2025 SHABBAT:

Candlelighting 5:51pm. Prayers 7:20pm in CC 3rd Floor.

Shabbat Dinner tonight with Hillel (after all this month of holidays at SH!) 8pm in CC 375.

Tomorrow Shabbos Day: Minyan 10:30am, we read the first Parsha of the 5 Books Bereishis! and we'll have Shabbat Lunch 12:30pm.

Shabbos ends 6:50pm. Pizza and Havdalah 8:30pm (should be after the big Homecoming Game)
