As we prepare to celebrate and honor Fr. Pat’s remarkable 37 years of ministry at St. Sophia during the June 7 Appreciation Luncheon, we are inviting parishioners to share photographs and videos from throughout the years.

These memories may be included in a slideshow presentation during the luncheon and will also be compiled into a bound keepsake book for Fr. Pat.

Photographs and videos can be uploaded online below. Please upload all photographs and videos online no later than June 1.

If you have printed photographs that you would like scanned, please bring them to the church office during this week in an envelope clearly labeled with your name and phone number. We will carefully scan and return your photographs to you.

Additionally, if you are a past GOYA President, former Head Altar Boy, or would like to participate in the June 7 program in some meaningful way, please e-mail [email protected] no later than June 1.

Thank you for helping us celebrate Fr. Pat, Prebytera Eva, and their family, and for sharing the many memories that have meant so much to our parish community over the past 37 years.

Kudoboard is an online replacement for the greeting card that you pass around and sign!

On behalf of Fr. Pat and the Parish Council, we wish to offer our deepest thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s Greek Festival such a special weekend for our community.

To the hundreds of volunteers who gave their time leading up to the festival, during the festival, and in the days since the festival concluded — preparing food, working shifts, setting up, cleaning up, welcoming guests, and doing the countless little things behind the scenes — THANK YOU. Our festival would quite simply not happen without your generosity, energy, and commitment.

So many people worked incredibly hard for months to bring our festival to life, and it showed in every detail. Beyond the food, music, and celebration, our festival is really about community, faith, and tradition — and this weekend reflected all of that so beautifully.

Very grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s festival such a success.

Again, thank you!

Michael Christakis
President, Parish Council
