Students! We had a BLAST on our winter retreat. We loved journeying with you, reflecting and being introspective about our hearts and inner life.

As with any teaching we do in youth, a lot of prep goes in behind the scenes in the way of studying and reading. For this retreat in particular, these were the books we read and pulled from for our talks each session.

Students! Youth is back this Sunday evening! We kick off our new series walking through the book of Genesis, viewing God and the story of the Scriptures through the eyes and viewpoints of different characters. We hope you join us this semester as we study the first book of the Bible.

Students! Our Winter Retreat is this month! We are heading back to Camp Tadmor January 16-18 for a weekend filled with games, worship, small group, and community! We hope you join us as we ponder matters of the heart and allow the Spirit and the Scriptures to reveal who we are and God to redeem every part of us. Hey students and families! Tomorrow night is our Family Night! Twice a year, we invite families to come and experience youth with their students. We also do our parent meeting while students are in small groups!

Please make plans to join us so we can connect with you and partner with you in the discipleship of your student. Childcare is provided and rumor has it we will have a cereal taste test…show up tomorrow night and find out! 6-8pm!

Hey families with kids! Our LA Mission Trip fundraiser is this Friday with Parent’s Night Out! For kids preschool and up, there will be games, pizza, and an age appropriate movie! Drop off your kids and have a date night, run errands, take a nap, or come up with something to do! $15 per kid!

Drop off is 5:30pm and pick up is 8pm. RSVP through our website or app! Help support us as we raise money to serve and share the gospel in Los Angeles summer of 2026!

Shift Kids & Shift Youth - we hope the start of the school year is going well! The start of the school year means our annual Back To School Night is this Sunday! This night is always filled with fun, community, and a chance to start the year with Christ at the forefront.

There will be family games and a taco bar. Family worship time with our Shift Youth Worship team. A message, prayer, and small groups geared toward families with all ages of kids. And… will be there to provide some drink treats.

Please, please RSVP on our website or app so we know numbers for set up and food. We hope you make plans to join us as we cast vision for our school year together as a family and see how God is calling to live out our faith!

Students! Happy summer! Remember there is no Youth this Sunday! We are on our annual two week break post school getting out!

Don’t forget to snag your book for summer book study! This summer, we are going through Champ Thornton’s book Radically Different: A Student’s Guide to Community. We have so many fun events planned this summer, so we hope you join us for our summer study.

We are selling them for cheaper than you can get online, so bring $10 to church this Sunday to grab one so you can start on time with us!

Students! Pancake Party tomorrow during second service to celebrate the end of the school year! Join us Sunday!

Every summer, we hit pause on studying books of the Bible and do a book study. This summer, we are going to be reading the book Radically Different by Champ Thornton. Each chapter of this book includes 3 days of devotionals and then a group study at the end of the week which we will do together at youth. We are excited for this book because it deals with relationships - how we relate to God and how to impacts how we relate to friends, family, and relational brokenness.

We are offering this book at a discount - $10 - bring cash or a check tomorrow to youth to pick one up. We start the book study July 6th!

Parents! We have an exciting summer and fall ahead and we have so many things to catch you up on! This coming Wednesday, from 5:30-7pm in our youth room, we have our next parent meeting. This will be a great opportunity for our incoming sixth grade parents to connect with youth parents, review our calendar and upcoming events, give updates and changes that have been made, and a chance to discuss challenges with discipleship with youth. We love partnering with our parents, so we hope to see you there!

Students and families! Our first interest meeting for our Summer 2026 Youth Mission Trip is Sunday, June 22nd, from 12:30-1:30pm in the youth room. Our destination is Los Angeles, California and it will be a week long. We will have light snacks and drinks and plan to share about the trip, important dates, application info, financial components, type of missions work, and more. Numbers will be limited for this trip, so we hope to see you there!
