✨Happy FEAST DAY of the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

🌹 AND… Happy One (1) Year Anniversary of our Holy Rosary Night 🌹

One year ago today, at a time when our Parish needed prayer, we turned to the Holy Rosary. Each Monday evening, we gather together to honor Mary through her many beautiful Feast Days and Devotions from all over the World. 🌎🌹🙏

We only had two (2) weeks in the small Chapel before we outgrew it and moved into the big Church. ⛪️

It has been a blessing, a privilege, and a joy! And through this past year, we have seen something very special…

Today, as we celebrate one full year of praying the Holy Rosary together, we remember where we began… and give thanks for where Jesus and Mary have brought us.

Thank you to our Rosary Leader last night, Fran and our gifted musicians, Carmen The Singer and Mary Jo for filling the Church with beautiful music every week, we are blessed with you all.

Yesterday, we placed a photograph of Mary, with her parents, St. Anne and St. Joachim as tonight’s Rosary is dedicated to the birthday of Our Blessed Mother. Tomorrow is Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. 🌹

There is no better place to honour Mother Teresa than right where she would want to be, in the very heart of our Food Pantry. ❤️🥫

✨We chose today’s Feast Day as the most fitting day to share. For there was none finer when it came to helping the poor.

🙏 Thank you to Deacon Aaron Tremblay for presiding, there will be a special 9/11 tribute display in the back of the Church, with actual memorabilia from Ground Zero. 🕯️🇺🇸

🙏 If there was ever a night to pray this would be the one.
How can it be 25 years? 💔 All are welcome to come and pray with us and thank you.

🙏It was an amazing day at the Friendship Table today!

Very busy, kids everywhere, it was so lively!

❤️ Thank you always to all the volunteers who make the Friendship Table possible.

❤️ We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Michele Abriel Vagianelis, who filled in for our Kathy a few weeks back. She did a tremendous job! 🌟Thank you, Michele! Your Dad, The Chief, 👨‍🚒would be so proud of you and so are we.

Welcome September 🌎 Happy World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation and the Season of Creation🌿 created by Pope Francis which runs from 01 September until 04 October 4, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Today our Holy Father will celebrate mass for the Care of all Creation.

💧The theme for this year’s Season of Creation is “Living Water” therefore, last night after rosary we placed this week’s rosary dedication, Our Lady of Czestochowa, at the Holy Water Font.

🙏 Thank you Rosary Leader, Fran Meltz and Musical Director and organist, Mary Jo Hughes for the beautiful jobs last night and thank you to everyone for coming. We are always so grateful.

🙏🌹 Tonight’s Rosary at 5:30pm 🌹🙏 will be dedicated to the Feast Day of Our Lady of Czestochowa, her Feast Day takes place each year on August 26, it was Established by Pope Pius XI in 1931.

👑 Mary is honored under this title as the Queen and Protectress of Poland. 🇵🇱👑

🖼️ The Icon: Tradition holds that the icon was painted by St. Luke the Evangelist on a cypress-wood table used by the Holy Family. It is a revered painting. The Icon is located at the Jasna Góra Monastery in Czestochowa, Poland. 🇵🇱

🇺🇸 There is also the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, in the U.S.A. in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

It is quite difficult to see the images of the suffering from the flooding in Nepal. 🇳🇵Tonight we will pray for them, please join us. 🙏 Our Lady of Czestochowa… pray for us. 🙏🌹

🌟 Round up of the Week 🌟

1. Sunday - 🙏 Thank you Father Yanas and Stephen Dansereau of Sacred Heart in Troy. Approximately a dozen or so of us attended the 10:30am mass followed with a tour of their Sacred Heart Museum, 🏛️ led by Stephen. We are in the early planning stages of our own Sacred Heart/North Albany Museum, Gift Shop and small Library 📚 so we truly appreciated your help. Thank you so much again to our friends, Father and Stephen and to all the people of Sacred Heart Troy for their loving welcome and hospitality. ❤️ A beautiful Parish! ⛪️

2. Monday - 💕 Very special! – Chrystal and Mike Barber renewed their wedding vows 💍 this week in the Church followed by a family reception in the Parish Hall. Heartfelt thanks to our Pastor, Father Walsh. 🙏 Congratulations Chrystal and Mike and family, we love you all. ❤️

3. Wednesday - 🏛️ We went down to see the excavation site, the unearthing of Erie Canal Lock #1 of the Erie Canal. It is incredible how intact it looks. A job well done to all those responsible for uncovering this treasure in the City. 👏 Please God more work will be done in the future to re-open this Lock. 🙏 It returns Sacred Heart back to our original roots and it would be amazing for the City of Albany for tourism and history. ❤️

4. Friday – Today, Happy Feast Day today of Saint Augustine 🙏 - St. Augustine's famous saying “He who sings, prays twice” 🎶🙏 – Rest in heavenly peace Dolly Parton. 🕊️
