Our parish community is working on a rosary making project for Archbishop Fulton Sheen's beatification in September. Join us after weekend Masses or stop by the office during weekday hours to make one or ten - supplies provided and no special skills required!
These mission rosaries were designed in 1951 by Fulton Sheen to promote prayers for all areas of the world. The word "catholic" means universal and this colorful rosary gives us a visual way to remember that we are all one world, one church in prayer.
The Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist are collecting 75,000 handmade mission rosaries to be blessed and distributed to be prayed at the event for Archbishop Sheen on September 24th. Our parish "mission" is to make 500 mission rosaries to donate.
