God Bless Ms. Jensen, you will be missed!

A NOTE FROM MS. JENSEN
My final day here at CTK is Wednesday, July 3rd. I began working at CTK in July 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic, and was so happy that Faith Formation was able to continue despite Covid's challenges. We may have stayed apart, but we sure stuck together! When I began working in ministry (2015) and moved into my first office, the only decoration when I arrived was a single piece of paper taped to the wall. It contained St. Paul's words to the Philippians (4:5-7): "Your kindness should be known to all." I have tried to live my journey in ministry by those words at all times. Getting to know this wonderful parish and its families and parishioners has been an honor for me ... and I will carry these special relationships with me always! Thank you for the opportunity to serve here at CTK ... and know that I'm keeping you in my prayers!

Blessings upon Ms. Jensen as she moves on to minister to the faithful of another parish. She will be missed!

Do you remember Spring Enrichment? Do you find yourself missing the experience? Here's an opportunity for your voice to be heard!

Our diocesan Office for Discipleship Formation supports parishes in their mission to call, form, and send disciples of the Lord Jesus into the world. Through the witness of their lives, and the ministries to which they are called, these disciples, in turn, invite others to encounter the saving love of God. In years past, there have been opportunities such as the Autumn Gathering and Spring Enrichment to nourish the disciples of our diocese. Many of us recall the engaging prayer and worship, insightful keynotes and major addresses, and the valuable workshops we experienced. Recently, many have expressed a desire for the return of such opportunities. It seems that the People of God truly want to gather as a larger community of disciples. We wish to respond to what we are hearing in a prayerful and thoughtful manner in light of our current realities and resources (human and otherwise). Merely to replicate the past will not necessarily serve the needs of today. So, in the spirit of synodality, we offer this survey to help us in our discernment about a possible gathering of some sort within the next year. We thank you in advance for your participation. One of this year's VBS leaders, Annmarie, offered some inspiration and creativity at our first planning meeting last week! She created a beautiful castle from colored paper. (Our VBS theme this summer will be "Keepers of the Kingdom.") Thanks for sharing your talents with us, Annmarie!

Have you seen our church garden lately? It's absolutely beautiful! Many thanks to all those in our Garden Ministry who work so hard to keep it looking gorgeous. HAPPENING TONIGHT: Our first Vacation Bible School planning meeting is this evening, 6 to 7 p.m. in the Music Room at CTK! Young people who are entering Grades 6 and above this fall are eligible to serve as VBS leaders. Our theme will be "Keepers of the Kingdom." Bring your creativity and awesome ideas for an unforgettable, faith-filled week of fun!
